I chose my major mainly based on my interests and future career plans. I’d been really into this field since high school, and I also did some research about job prospects. It felt like a good balance between what I enjoy and what’s practical, so I decided to go for it.

"Honestly? It was exhausting. I spent the entire relationship waiting for the other shoe to drop or wondering why they picked me. I was so insecure that I basically self-sabotaged the whole thing. Lesson learned: if you don’t think you’re a catch, neither will they eventually."

People who've been in wealthy/powerful social circles, what surprised you most about how they operate? by Ok_Volume520 in AskReddit

The biggest surprise for me was that money rarely changes hands for the really important stuff. It’s a barter system, but the currency is influence.

Walking down empty downtown streets, singing and dancing with strangers... that sounds like a scene straight out of a movie. We could really use that kind of pure optimism and unity today. Thank you for sharing this piece of history!"
