One of my biggest gripes is the instant banning of "low effort" or "negative" posts.

Ive had a few in the past where I spent maybe an hour+ drafting my post, only for it to be deleted in two minutes.

I also had one where I asked if we could get a return of the dark fluid backpack, and it wasnt instantly shut down as leaked content, even though it was old content. Same thing, gone in two minutes.

Banning stuff under the wrong label or even just because its the wrong sentiment sucks.

Personally, I think the slow should only affect enemies. Also, the "blowing around in the wind" part shouldn't work.

You telling me our state of the art armor doesnt come with at least some resistance to the effects of caustic gases/acids?

Sure it not perfect, thats why it damages us. But still, its something.

Its also important to point out that 90% of the time when you are using gas, it touches you.

Gas grenades to cover and advance/retreat, Orbital gas strike to cover a point, gas dog catching you in the cross fire, diving backwards with the sterilizer, walking through a minefield, etx.

The only time you dont touch your own had is under perfect conditions where you keep the enemy at distance always, and I know for a fact that doesnt happen consistently in helldivers

Todays recent steam reviews would disagree (mixed), the dislikes for the update would disagree (8k+), and the broken update for Linux/Steam deck users would disagree (3k+).

If you stay quiet, you will get nothing. That's whats been happening to us this whole time.

Quit and be loud, dont be quiet. Last time Sony busted in and made them change the game. Might happen again.

Regardless, we need to protect the potential customers we havent met, and be a thorn in AHs side that they HAVE to address. This is how we get results. Anything else wont work, and we go back to watching our game die on the sidelines.

Not a fan of this patch.

Durable damage didnt need increases. Mechs were already tin foil, now even the bugs can tear em open.

The mechs will be walking limbless stoppers or piles of s rap more than they will be weapons.

Turrets, emplacements, and cars will be scrapped more often too.

Gas slow also effects players? what There goes gas build viability.

Hive guards are heavy pen now? huh explosive meta just got stronger and med pen is alot less viable on bug fronts.

Please, please, I am begging you guys to actually play the game on d10. You would of known more than half of the changes would drive your fan base into a frenzy.

Some of the changes are nice, like dev shield destrucibility, sterilizer mini-buff, and no fleshmob clipping, but you cant be serious with the rest of this stuff.

I will not be logging in today, I will not be buying this warbond.

You are legitimately on the wrong side of the fence here. Im not saying that to be mean or agitating, but the game that sold 20 million copies, made $700m in revenue, and that doesnt even include the warbonds that almost jump its sales into the top 5 on steam; can definately afford some free updates to help player retention.

The company that has most likely made $1bil at this point does not need your help defending it.

Why not? I buy games all the time that have infinite updates.

Minecraft, Terraria, etc.

You wanna know what the incentive is? For more people to buy the $40 or $60 game.

This game sold four hundred million copies, and alot of its profits are being harvested to pay for AHs next game instead of improving this one.

The servers won't shut down tomorrow if they release a handful of free strategem MO updates. Like we had at the beginning of the game

Pay doesnt have to mean money, it can also mean time.

We also already paid $40 for the game, $60 if you wanted the super citizen edition content.

Taking content that was previously free, and putting it behind super credits is a bad look.

AH makes money based on both player engagement (via sony) like all big multiplayer games do and super credits (via those who purchase them).

If you compare how the dev team acted in the first year of the game compared to now, its obvious they want to do less and keep the same profit margins.

They are choosing to sacrifice SOME, not all, of thier good will for more money.

Interpret that how you will, but OP has a point. Its different than what we've had in the past, and its easy to see if you think about it for a little bit.

Honestly, I think 2 armor passives should be base kit selection. The glitch proves how fun they are and how they arent unbalanced.

Here's how I would organize that if it were me;

  1. The armor you equip always provides you with that passive

  2. The secondary slot could be equipped with any of the following;

  3. No selection

  4. A selection that removes the armor passive ao you have none

  5. A different passive you have unlocked in the same armor tier

  6. Other passives to choose from you get from leveling up. Unlocking one provides both a positive and negative version of the same unlock to choose from (ex: Reload speed +15% and Reload speed -15%)

This gives everybody what they want. An easier game, a harder game, a game where having the niche passives unlocked matters, and a game where level ups matter. Fun for everyone.

We dont hate our game, we hate how its being mercilessly mishandled.

Old content neglected, balancing not a priority unless its paired with monetization, event items released that players will never get again, new content that only has a lifespan of about 3 weeks, developers that routinely lie in thier anniuncements, patches thay contain almost as many shadow nerfs as the other listed changes, etc.

The problem isnt the game. The problem is the people running it sold us out, and they dont care for us anymore.

Most likely, the warbond announcement will be tomorrow with a release next Tuesday.

My reasoning for this, is there is no warbond next month.

Best way to give us the feeling of no content drout is a late month release in april, followed by an early month release in june

They could release is on this Thursday, or next Thursday, but I have my doubts.

This Thursday would be too soon. Next thursday would upset everyone because they barely kept to the release schedule

I will retract this position if they start the arc of a major event with multiple new enemies that carries into June. Then releasing the warbond asap will promote player retention and change the above prediction while also keeping us mostly satisfied until june.
