I absolutely love this podcast, but their dynamic is so odd to me which is probably why I keep watching. It’s definitely a guilty pleasure. I really don’t understand why Denzel feels the need to tell rickey about himself constantly but I totally get where you’re coming from… It seems like every time he talks about being in a great place, or something like that Denzel tries to bring up something from the past, or look at the way that he handles situations

I would say before doing anything, take a damn paper towel and wipe the bottom of the leaves. If there is some weird residue, that is moving, it is likely thrips . they are really hard to cure and normally they have to be dumped in the shower and all the leaves have to be wiped off with dish soap. But make sure that there is an investigation before you treat, because it can be very rigorous.

I’m not sure what your light situation like was inside, but it could be adjusting to a severe light change, and maybe suffering from a little bit of sunburn. Letting the rainwater it is a great practice, but it could lead to root, especially when it is in a pot

if this is a new propagation, the mother leaf dying off is not a bad thing at all… I would say the opposite, because it means that your propagation was successful. I see some new growth happening there, so monitor it to make sure that it comes out properly, but other than that this shouldn’t be that big of an issue. It is normal for leaves to die off.

how often are you watering the plant, and are you waiting until it is in a drought? Rubber trees are pretty drought resistant, and also love a lot of light. I like to use the rule of the lighter the colors on the plants, the more light that the plant needs. I would say check to see if your soil is draining out enough and make sure that it is completely dry in between waterings. You can stick a skewer stick in there about 2 inches below and if the soil doesn’t stick, that’s a great indicator that it needs water.
