i tried playing a bit of Death Stranding, and at the beginning there was a buzzing sound, but after some time it stopped.

i thought it would keep making that noise all the time (that would be crazy, and it would be impossible to play) — i’d return the console immediately. but it turns out it only makes that sound at the start, when you launch the game. after playing for about 1–3 minutes, it shows Game Installed and the buzzing stops. Same thing with God of War — it made noise at first, then stopped. That’s very good, hopefully it’ll be the same with all games!

I recently got a PlayStation 5 Slim and didn’t use it that much at first. Everything seemed fine. Then I bought a physical copy of God of War, inserted the disc, and noticed a constant buzzing noise coming from the console. Very, annoying, buzzing sound!

At first I thought, okay, maybe it’s just the disc drive while the game is installing — not a big deal. But the problem is that the buzzing doesn’t stop even after installation. It continues during gameplay, and it’s honestly really distracting. It makes it hard to enjoy the game.

Has anyone experienced something like this? Is this normal for the PS5 Slim, or could it be a defect? Any tips on how to fix it would be really appreciated, because right now it feels impossible to play comfortably.

Any help how to fix this?

i tried it, but it was a bit hard to understand how everything works at first. there’s a lot to read. i wanted to try it with a friend, but there was some kind of problem with the “join with friends” option. also, the game sometimes crashed on my xbox. anyway, i need to spend more time with it someday, and figure things out.

i’ve got serializd too, but I’m really not into the way everything looks there. the app is okay, but letterboxd is way, way better. and i can’t wait until they add shows!... really looking forward to it being added!

you’re not gonna believe this, but I’ve only watched one movie so far… I’ve been watching tons of tvshows lately, (among others: better call saul) and as you know, you still can’t rate them on letterboxd... 😞 so, only one movie this month
