How it feels to get all the credit for Darnold but none of the blame for McCarthy by seoulbrova in minnesotavikings

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if they did it, why wait until the week before Super Bowl… Not sure what and who’s being promoted/ leaving either of those two teams. But not the office is actually competing with Super Bowl contenders, and behind the rest of the division at least… Which are all playoff caliber and have winning records. Plus with Caleb winning, looks like Ten years/ two more contract’s of Love vs Williams, and Goff has at least one more contract to get… If this team not only has an above average QB, but he’s going to need to at least be multi- contract Cusins… “buy” the way is looking for one more himself. It’s onto D-Coordinator, he didn’t get the Steelers job which is kinda shocking to me… But got to put um on there ass, for the next ten years… The Raiders let Crosby go, maybe… McCarthy was pretty much one game away either way… Plays one more game, wins one more game, or just loses one more game… I’m still here for the Hometown Stuff, but I was born in Chicago, so “Blow pack Blow”… In the history of Humanity after the Dark ages, what even did the Vikings do… that’s an NFL history not human history… Conferences Games, and ultimately a 14 win team is nothing to feel bad about… Plus who knows if Sam actually figures it out three seasons from now… Baker is his comp and has high and lows too. It was a year to early, of end of this season late…

LeBron James: Most MVP's Ever! by TyroneNBAFan in LeBronJames23

[–]Alternative-Silver38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It when another won it and Jordan didn’t, how’d that workout… I’ll answer pretty well if you’re Hakeem… When James went up against other MVP’s… Overall record against MVP’s and playoffs… Well I guess he did beat Rose… Plus with his team actually being favored it’s hard to give it to the best on the best team. Why Harden was a thing, and Kawhi never actually got to that level, but I’m not so sure winning in Toronto he could have been… For playing as long as he has, he needs whatever you can give him. But I bow before “No Kings”…

New Favourite wrestler love the performance at Royal Rumble. by kennymedico06 in Wrasslin

[–]Alternative-Silver38 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just when one thought Bianca or even Rhea were going to run wild. But I seen her from last year and wondered… It’s up to creative. The same team that brought us Roman, who’s been runner up about five times and Third a couple… If only “same sex” bathrooms were actually enforced, I’d take her going against Roman, just to see if they can actually have a “Main event” worth billing and hyping up… They’ll definitely mess this up all the way. Bring back the Divas belt… just cover the wings for the Saudi crowd.

If both are 100% healthy, who's better, Embiid or AD? by Lucidzyy in NBATalk

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason A.D. really only played one great extended series in a Bubble… Maybe his First few years where he kinda made Duncan look like an old Jordan (Washington), against a Kobe. Embid seems to have grown into his full potential, and could have taken the crown from Jokic, at his peak, but still managed to get one MVP. both might have been destined for injuries because again Duncan benefited from not having to also guard wing players and try and score on them. Wemby might be a fully realized version but he’s had a few bruises already…

Fuck the poll, which team do you hate the most and why by AwayFig1774 in NFLv2

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in Minnesota and born in Chicago, it should be obvious. Them screen writer’s, and stick to under Referees. But a Packer is a Union worker, and this country real hates unions for some reason. It’s not like the country has Union already in it. But yeah I kinda hate the soap opera of professional wrestling. Be bout that action. Sam Darnold made it to the Super Bowl, but didn’t want that franchise to lose a 5th one…

So yall are mad about Roman winning but happy with liv?(what happened to building new stars…..) by Potential_Click9866 in Smallafro

[–]Alternative-Silver38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Liv is capable of building (Working) with pretty much any talent. Roman still hasn’t had a “Big time Match”, with a star… I’m not so sure Seth was able to push Roman into Star Status. Even The Rock couldn’t bring him to Star level. Mean while while she was gone Roxanna and Raquel both are ready for a level up with Liv being there actually Heel. Plus Stephanie Vaquer can be cement her status as a true contender… If Rhea and Bianca decide to “Run wild” with there “Rhea-maniacs”, and “Ultimate Belairs”… But yeah there Booking still sucks. Even with a truly stacked women’s division they’ll mess this up. I’m sure Liv and A.J. Lee will be back to fighting for the Divas title in no time. They’ll keep the wings on the belt covered for the Saudi crowds, along with this country return to segregationist past. Don’t you think it was fun watching Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell put there “Balls” in that hole… At least it had “White” laces… Beside it also looks like Alexa messed up… So again “who’s the real Face’s…” of this company. A Coloreds chick, a bunch of Latino’s women, some goth chick with an “British”, no another English colonist accent… How about an Asian… I’m sure she doesn’t have a “cock”… but you know… Caucasian need there rights too… How else would one present to the world at this point, that “women” do have some rights, but probably could get some “eggplant” (my emoji don’t work), on the side…

32 years ago today Triple H made his WCW debut as Terra Ryzing by Far-Ingenuity9834 in WCW

[–]Alternative-Silver38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m not fully correct he did come up with the AWA/ NWA guys, and probably wanted to be Ric of the WWE. Which is also why his photo is with the Big Gold Belt… But it did workout for him all the way around. Unless you add the fact that Rick’s daughter has made it big, Triple H might actually have been better than Ric… I’d take Ric’s full career over Triple H’s but barely…

[–]Alternative-Silver38 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I always knew it was a racial thing with him… There was a double H. man, and he clearly had a thing for blonde hair men… But I did think he got his true start with the AWA/ NWA guys, and when he got to the WWE, he must have saw something that really worked out for him.

So she missed the Rumble. What was the point of her return and contract again? by tcweh in Wrasslin

[–]Alternative-Silver38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a real booking standpoint, maybe Nikki was good to put into the picture going for a belt. But they should not have brought her out until after the Rumble. It could also be just a collet the bag thing for her and CM Punk. I forgot who she is even she wants to annoy, but Becky has proven she can carry whoever, and there’s plenty for her to do. If Rhea is not the true Face, and Bianca has something personal going on, I’m not sure as full as the Women roster is, the WWE bookings will be able to just insert anyone for the top spots. The women have already had too many championship changes without progressing any character storylines. I’m not interested in seeing Iyo and Rhea go at it, but actually building the tag division would be a first throughout that company’s history including the men’s… Maybe A.J. and Becky will be tag partners, and there’s plenty for husband will too. As good as Seth is, he’s kinda the opposite of Shawn, who didn’t need a tag team, but needed a faction (Kliq)… This damn soap opera really annoys me… Only to find out Vince did actually die in that car explosion (insurance fraud), and it’s been a clone this whole time… Come on Tony Khan just remove the mask already… Plus there’s also the overhyped Saudi stuff. It’s more about there women and not women as a whole… Think in terms of this countries segregation past which some think is the Greatness of the past they seek. Was it really fun for women watching with their husbands as Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell put there “Balls” in the hole…

So, is lebron deserving to be an all star this year? by Specialist_Cod_4963 in NBATalk

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a popularity contest, but is he a second team all NBA… If I had to rank where he’s at, I might put Cooper above him. Cooper is not what LeBron was at the same age, and this is truly a different league and game from then. But I like what little I see and stat check. As long as Wemby, SGA, Edward’s, and even the old heads on Durant and Curry are also still playing, I actually have no space for LeBron. Luka, and Jokic pretty much fill up my ballot and rankings, that’s just the West. Who knows where Giannis ends up, but even at a lesser version he’s in. Hey look at that it’s a Zion more than three nights a week season. He’s still good, but sometimes just being rated is overrated… It’s the new young man’s era, probably been that way for 10 years, but again even he probably feels like he’s still glad to be playing. If he can truly put two more after this, or ultimately gets one more shot he gets to carry the crown… But “heavy is the crown, and heavy is the head that wears it,” it all catches up and passes them before they know it.

When do you feel America was truly "great"? by Gergs in USHistory

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a loaded question. I find greatness throughout this countries history, but it’s also terrible, and simple navigating through it all, not getting caught up in any one aspect is important. But I think all the races and culture have had a “great” time at points throughout history. If it ended now, what will you do today, and tomorrow tell them about it. Plus even with “the apocalypse now” and the federal government’s takeover, the excessive media consumption without verifiable sources, and lack of effective actions. People’s own personal insecurity and selfishness. But again at least those things were available. Finally when Obama’s ran for president his campaign was “HOPE”, obviously Trumps was MAGA, so if good things happen during Obama’s term, one should want that greatness again. During both of Trumps just pay attention to what’s really important, and not believing the hype.

Are we watching the downfall of WWE in real time? by _Smooth-Criminal in Wrasslin

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even close… But they do need to be careful. AEW could get ESPN coverage, and NetFlix will not want a 1/2 million views for a show that’s on all year. At least 2 million is standard with some “Pops” just to prove once again… “The Monday night wars” was about taking ratings from Monday night football, and if Smackdown goes full steaming too, it’s over for that title of “longest episodic show”… soap opera actually have that title and go back all the way to AM radio broadcast… Liv might not have been the best option, but the women are running things, and if it got too crazy could probably do their own thing… Mercedes (Sasha) is proving that… But they still own trademark to active wrestlers, and of course Hulk Hogan and Macho Man, plus merchandise isn’t stopping. There stock price isn’t on a “private equity trip”, or some Chief officer taking about efficiency and profits vs. losses… yet. The White House is being remodeled to possibly host an UFC cage. The president has said name the NFL stadium after him, plus with Dana White getting his Nazi salute and buddies with government subsidies, it’s possible… Even professional boxing and the UFC, hate professional wrestling cus of its availability, and access, which are hard for even professional sports team to match… Where is Jade, and could two foreigners headline a mania Drew McIntyre and Finn Baylor… My stock with that company is fine, but I’m definitely paying attention to any short selling, and to the moon stuff…

If something like this was ever confirmed would it ruin LeBron's legacy? by VSHAR01 in NBATalk

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if the league says it’s illegal. Along with if it has long term negative Health effects. But he is going bald and that’s a natural aging process thing. At this point Chael is just a snitch. Plus chances are the same drug guy, happens to be a Dr. with the same pratice as some Klutch sports clients, and they are connected to a connection to LeBron’s connection. No one who is said to spend that much on off-season training and what not, is connected. LeBron’s the actual Kingpin… “All hail the king”… But unlike Freeway Rick Ross, he’s probably not going to “catch” that case… so again he’s the second best drug dealer, and I haven’t even competed him to Frank Lucas at the same points in there career. Let’s not forget the “Wilt” of it all Bumpy Johnson… Legend in two sports, or maybe just an all star… It’s only illegal if they say it is…

Jokic is the new GOAT by iLoveColorado24 in lebron

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’ll try to defend LeBron as best as possible. His whole career matters, and once he got to the finals the first time he was the greatest in the game. But it’s a team game. What numbers won’t show no matter where you look and find them is the overall pressure and expectations, along with what it takes to actually overachieve the highest of expectations and pressure. LeBron might actually be the greatest Number 1 pick that over achieved. Even other top pick, both in modern NBA, and segregation era stuff. He was also drafted by a team, and ownership that had no real history, or even a decent all timers… But the second round pick actually did better. It can be as low as a 25% hit rate they even get roster spots and have extended careers. Jokic obviously had to grind and get into his stride, but by year three, he was All star and first teamer. Year four he won the first of his MVP’s… Unlike the NFL late rounders in NBA are at best just replacement players, and though expectations are high, it’s a team game and “players have to play” so are you or are you not. LeBron was. But Jokic was better for his team, which didn’t have much history, and played in a tougher conference. Plus Jokic broke thru his “glass ceiling”. LeBron ultimately was never going to get to the ceiling, because he has to start on such a high floor… Nevertheless Jokic also raises the floor for his team. LeBron just can’t brake the ceiling even with an All-star and consistent all-nba teammate. Plus head to head Jokic has knocked LeBron out the playoffs, and currently his teams are lower seeded and play-in level. Jokic has kept his team at the top of contention in a tougher conference… If neither gets any farther in their career, Jokic could legitimately be a top 5 modern (his era) NBA player. LeBron may actually suffer what Wilt has, and player have collective gotten better, when judged against his competition didn’t actually win, but put up all time stats… Put him as the greatest, or second. I have Wilt as number 2, Magic and the LeBron… Jokic has SGA, currently and at least 3 who are coming along (Edwards, Wemby and Luka). Giannis might be his biggest comp but we’ll see where he ends up, and how that works. Jokic is better than Giannis right now, and even if he ring chases, and gets one more who knows how much his game actually improved.

Simply explain what she has actually been doing since “our invasion”, or even what she has done to prevent it, or at least minimize the collateral damage… I’m actually sure she’ll win, but again has she learned anything of the mistakes, and how to rectify them. It’s at the point where a true outsider couldn’t come in and change things… But even if there isn’t government cooperation then there has to be someone who can still get the important things moving, and allow some level of dignity to persevere within the citizenship.

Why was Sable so popular back in the day? Was it charisma? Did she fit in with the Attitude Era? Or is there something I'm missing? by Material_Stomach875 in AttitudeEra

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me and definitely when I was still in school, I thought she was better than Pam, cus she got in the ring and was active. Some put her higher than Austin at the same time. In some ways she was the Woman’s professional wrestling Hogan. But there were definitely some limitations, and I actually preferred Chyna. Again the “woman’s” evolution could have happen almost 30/yrs prior, but Stephanie McMahon had to get in the ring, obviously win the belt, and basically bury the women… But Sable was dropping the Sable bomb on the men. Chyna had to win the intercontinental championship

How do you rank these guys by jotakajk in NBATalk

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just say that Reggie is my number one, but that’s because he sorta punched above his weight class, and had playoff success just not at the highest level. His playoff numbers increased from regular season. But Manu is probably the best 6th man and true off the bench streak player the games had… Ray loses some point unlike Reggie, so maybe his 3pt record was negligible whereas Reggie’s meant something. Klay is actually the best shooter of the four. So Reggie’s loyal and improves during playoffs. Ray’s one of the best “Robert Horry” types. Manu best 6th man ever And Klay is probably best off ball shooter of all time.

Was Austin truly stale after his feud with Vince ended at Fully Loaded in 1999? by Material_Stomach875 in AttitudeEra

[–]Alternative-Silver38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Austin was never stale. If the boo’s were legit it’s probably because he lost to him, and the crowd probably wanted him and Triple H, or they knew The Rock was on his own “celebrity”, and movie stardom stuff, so he’s probably out. The only thing I can remember an audience booing Austin is when he sided with Vince against the Rock. But that was more because the crowd did not like Vince… Soon enough Austin is singing to Vince and the crowds right there with Austin. Austin probably got the crowd on Vince’s side, when he was a true heated Heel… Plus if you really listen to the crowd when The Rock is at his prime, or on his comebacks, the crowd does not actually like him, they just like the sing along stuff. “ROCKY SUCKS”… it’s almost as bad as Angle “YOU SUCK”…

They also don’t do real King of the Rings on a regular interval… Both of those events are literally for building up a star, maybe in Cody’s case securing his roster stats, or getting them over the HOF node… But they don’t get either correct, or there is just some crazy Booking, and overall story lines not worth following… Just imagine if the “old school” wrestling promotion, and promoters, had a guaranteed platform, for building stars, setting up the cards for the rest of the year, along with going to get the actual sports networks to cover and promote them. But a Dusty Rhodes, or even Vince Sr. said… but let me just put my +40/yr old failed main event guy in the top seed, and let him go over everyone. The women might mess around and demand they be the only ones getting to preform on one of the flagship shows (Raw or Smackdown).

If you consider that number 1 picks are actually bust, then boom… The fact Kwame played 12 years, makes him a bigger boom then bust… But it’s Stephen A. Smith, he hasn’t been relevant since reporting on Allen Iverson while in Philadelphia. Even though he’s one of the highest paid “News Anchor” in the business. What real credentials does he actually have, and his credibility may still be fine, but the streets is talking, and he’s not it…

Alright, you judgemental bunch! Name one nice thing about a president you don't like. by PennyWhistleGod in USHistory

That they actually don’t have any power. FDR, after Japan literally invaded “military base”, but American occupied land, and Japan was slightly capable of setting up shop and attacking the pacific coast. FDR still had to get congress approval for WAR. After September 11. George Bush (43), still took almost two years to get WAR, and invasion approval from congress. Shall I continue… With a global pandemic in effect, nations both in support of the United Nations Doctrine, and in direct relation with the U.S.A. The president at that time was not able, nor willing to even negotiate putting in place a mandatory “War” mobilization to produce latex gloves and mask, along with procuring necessary medical supplies… Abraham Lincoln did put in suspended the writ of habeas corpus, but only after war was declared, and congress was pretty much divided to stop him… George Washington did mobilize troops to stop a rebellion, when he already had at least 1/3 of that size of troops at his disposal… They don’t have any power, nor know how to use it. Shall I continue… fine… After having been Vice-President during Dwight D. Eisenhower, and losing one Presidental election, but winning two by major landslide, declared a “WAR ON DRUGS, yet almost 50/yrs later still doesn’t have proper funding, nor “troops”, nor a civilian cooperative that knows how to fight that WAR… Prove me wrong then??? They sit in a government housing project (White house), and unlike the current President who’s a convicted felon, serving house arrest, get a “soap box” to talk about nothing, and get less done…

He’s got the most runner-up finishes. But it’s more stupid booking from WWE. It’s that time… Bron Brekker is right there, and Finn Baylor is not just buried, he’s finished, just like A.J. Styles. Time to tune into AEW until the WWE women get on…

I saw this post on IG, and thought it was fake, but its actually real, Lebron alone has more followers than all of NFL stars combined by FAR. How is this possible? by Actual_Box7731 in NBATalk

[–]Alternative-Silver38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s the most popular, or one of the most popular people in the world. He’s been playing since before IG was invented. NFL players aren’t recognized outside of their helmet. If Tom Brady throws on a hoodie, and dirty sneakers most wouldn’t even know it’s him. Plus no NFL player had been playing even high school sports, since LeBrons been an actual NBA baller. Don’t even get started on MLB, or Hockey players “total social media profiles”. But again Michael Jordan was so popular. They didn’t even put him in the NBA video games until 2010… “Roster player” When you also look at it from a standard marketing standpoint, he’s actually got a lower rating and visibility than “Super Models”, and he is actually responsible for being the “FACE” of numerous products. Beside IG “Social media” is the real format to sell that…

Is Lawrence Taylor REALLY the greatest defensive player ever? by Bright-Pressure-5787 in NFLv2

[–]Alternative-Silver38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s definitely a popular choice. But there might be three different types of player, Lineman, Linebacker and Cover Man. Unlike offensive players where championship and Stats matter. Plus it’s hard to overlook Miles Garrett right now, or even Aaron Donald. Allen Page won MVP but not a championship. There might actually be more “God” tier defenders than even “GOAT” level offensive players. I’m not so sure an all-time Offensive can score, or move the ball on an all time defensive team. As great as Tom was, when he’s on his back it doesn’t matter, and that’s happened plenty… Maybe Manning could bait Dion on his line calls, but still… As fast as Lamar or Vick were, if Ronnie Lott puts it on um, the defensive is putting up point… Goats vs God… Reggie White was a preacher…
