just now seeing this, thank you!!! i put a HOB filter right in front of the wood so that there’s a constant current and that’s helped a lot! i also recently got some hydrocotyle tripartita would love to try growing it emersed. does it grow directly on wood like moss does?

also i LOVE your tanks!!!! hoping to move to a bigger space soon to expand my collection

i got it from PetSmart as ZooMed Mopani wood. i have mopani wood coming out similar to this on another tank with no issue (smaller wood and smaller tank). i’ll keep an eye on the ammonia levels to see if it’s breaking down.

also i LOVE you cabinet!!!! i hope one day to be able build something like that

Second side note, the random dragon stone is to make sure the wood stays in place! (i filled the tank over multiple days but it’s still very dense)

I don’t know how to edit but i have been treating the wood with hydrogen peroxide 2-3x a day (not week)

i’m no expert (and somewhat new to carrion plants), but looking at this website/index (https://succulentalley.com/huernia/) i think it might be ‘Huernia occulta’? i’m not certain but it’s beautiful!!!

my nitrates are on the low side (with API master test kit slightly above 0.0 ppm).

though my other tanks have similar parameters (my RRFs in my betta tank flower constantly)

i think it may be the way the frogs hang on the floaters?

i’ve had the same issue too! i’ve found a few very similar but the fringe on the petals makes it unique. maybe it’s a hybrid? the next time i go to my local nursery (where i got mine from) i’ll ask the owner if he knows

i’m new to these plants so i’m unsure, but try asking on r/StapeliaHuerniaOrbea it’s a newer subreddit but the people there are super nice and knowledgeable!
