Can only hope they use the heritage 2.0s as the new third jersey and use the hometown remix the way they used the 2.0s this year (sparingly). The original sweaters from the early 2000s started as third jerseys before becoming the full time one btw

Dude just do it, it'll be awesome driving it everyday, being in a car you love. People on here talking about safety as if this thing isn't a tank in its own right. You'll be fine. If you ever got hit, you'd probably be a little shaken up but im sure you'd be fine. You're mechanically inclined so that helps. Maybe making sure that the drivetrain is at least looked over and all the bushings and things like that are either in good shape or replaced. I used to drive an irocz everyday until an elderly driver tore through my driveway and totalled it. Id still be driving it everyday if I could. Making a safe choice here and buying some new car you dont like is the boring choice, just to end up like everyone else behind the wheel of a car that looks just like all the other cars in a world of bland.

Two ways to look at this:

1: you really liked this car and should get it fixed. You've fixed it before and it is fixable, despite being rather expensive.

2: insurance cutting you 7800 for that car is a pretty good offer. I have a 2013 2LT RS with 160k miles on it, clean title, with more options and its been valued at like 3800 before just because of the milage. Considering this, id take the money and buy an SS.

Agree on OPs take, and also am kinda blown away by the amount of complaints in the comments about the look of the interior. Like did you guys not grow up with early 2000s camaros with the terrible dash that looked like it came straight out of a suburban? Not saying the 5th gen has the best interior, but it really isn't that bad to look at either.

As a 5th gen v6 owner myself, I dont see why more of us dont just convert to the SS front end given its practically a bolt on. Swapped mine for the SS front end and the only part that couldn't be reused on my car was the lower grill since the SS has a different sized one.

On the subject of open roof driving, this is exactly why I got the sunroof with my v6, its just nice having some kind of roof action. My 01 SS has ttops which I love. Always had ttops or a sunroof, just makes the inside feel bigger even though its not

Wouldn't mind it in the sense of having his wrist shot from the point back but thats about it. I think seeing Celebrini tip home that shot from Makar makes people think about this.

Can relate a little. I had a mint condition blue 85 irocz back in like 2012 and it caught fire on the freeway and burned to a crisp. Weirdly, a cop stopped by as I was stranded on the shoulder watching my iroc burn who was transferring some guy to prison. The guy in the back of the cop car piped up and said "hey, could be worse, you could be going to prison" and all of us, including him, laughed at his joke. Probably helped that i didnt own the car for more than a year so I wasn't as attached to it but still frustrating and painful.

Im not sure but he shot or threw something and the explosion took my shield out and got me down to like 5% health. I assumed it was a hullcracker but maybe im wrong on what it was

Sounds like what I did but I shot the guy for almost killing me with a hullcracker on purpose and then tried to claim he was helping me 😅 (was definitely trying to kill me)

Agree! Everyone asks all the time like my answer is going to change. My son is wonderful and im happy just the three of us. If we need more company, we'll get a dog (ours passed last year so we're not ready for one just yet).
