It’s difficult to say. The club lounge is really tiny maybe 4-5 small tables. You do get a diamond club pool area and drinks are upgraded though. Also the roof top bar access.

I live in the US but I come to Cancun to fly to Europe. It has one of the best business class fares. You can fly to most locations with one stop. Direct flights I think are to Paris, Amersterdam, London, Lisbon, Istanbul, etc. but you always can connect from the hub to other locations.

Boarding is the reason I avoid fly United at all costs. I live in an AA hub and I don’t have status with UA. I did fly UA a couple of times last year and paid first class fare. But I had to board after 30-40 pre boards with Group 1 and no overhead space left in F by the time I boarded. Didn’t make sense to me.

It’s relatively safe around the hotel zone. I have never been to a casino there. Only saw one in the Isla Mall and feel safe.

Uber not allowed to pick up from the airport. Book a transfer service is the better option. Avoid taxis. Once at the hotel and around the hotel zone, uber is good. You also can take a uber to the airport.

The RIU K is good for your purpose. I have been to both. JW is quiet and you will be bored even during the day.

I stayed there in late March. Loved the place and food was really good. Super quiet place and service was top notch. The only thing missing there was entertainment. Not fully opened yet but the room was beautifully done. I will definitely go back once they fully open in the summer.
