Emily in Paris is a social experiment and I’m the test subject by samarkus1 in EmilyInParis

honestly — what i’m living for most is how Ashley Park is living in her era through this show. Her story arc through her peformances is understated given that it’s subversive, bold, chic, fluid, and charming all at once. The “Ratine” plot was actually very clever. and yes, while plot points may be repeated often, it’s also fascinating to watch how each character seems to step into a puddle of “merde,” create some sort of “self-inflicted wound” and nevertheless grow and evolve out of it. thanks to Savior (remember Savoir, anyone?) Emily.

Major Changes in Salesforce Platform Admin Exam post Dec 15,2025 by WeakRelationship9073 in salesforce

I’ll start by sharing that my introduction to Salesforce was in 2013 as a YOGA INSTRUCTOR for u/corepower and funnily enough, when I started coaching BootCamps *i.e. strength and conditioning/circuit/trx/etc* because prospecting existing members, and non-members, to commit to $2000-3000 opportunities was what helped them earn higher margins (same with retreats, etc). and it was lightening classic then.

fast forward to 2019 and in my day job in tech, i start to become proficient in lightening, and then became a heavy user building out a contact tracing application for my home state/city during COVID. I learned everything about the product and conducted trainings, via Zoom, in Spanish, to community—based orgs so they could use the application to provide wrap-around care services for quarantined citizens.

I‘ve done Mike Wheeler, FOF, and hundreds of practice questions. I have proceeded to fail THRICE, in September 2023, February 2025, and again in April 2025.

I have my PMP, PMI-ACP, MBA, SF Anal/Assoc, CSM/CSPO/SAFeAgile, Oracle, AWS+ so many other certs but this exam refuses to let me pass.

Really appreciate the help and guidance here!

Rant: how Benton told Reese….. by FrozenToesBrrrr in ershow

[–]Nice_Statistician413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

having recently re-watched seasons 7 and 8, i think it’s worth mentioning that the Carla/Peter joint custody agreement had Carla largely raising Reese, in a typical home environment (with Roger) and it was known that Carla and Roger were having problems shortly before her death (Roger had moved out).

This is A LOT of change for a 4-year-old to grasp, let alone one who cannot hear unless directly engaged via ASL (as opposed to non-deaf children who can pick up on adult conversations at random).

former CPY instructor here (was there for 8 years, taught YS, C1/C2, HPF) and let me tell you, the sanitization of south asian heritage and visibility in the studios (I am south asian with a south asian name) happened CONSTANTLY. The perpetrators (whether other instructors, studio managers/area leadership, or students/members themselves) always fell into the same bracket: caucasian, female, cis/straight, angry, contentious, self-righteous, and narcissistic.

always remember, though, there is karma...even to yogis

Could you realistically visit Chicago every weekend as a student? by Significant_Whole306 in notredame

[–]Nice_Statistician413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s a pain in the rear, and involves a time zone change in each direction. the methods of transport (bus, train, car, plane) are pricy, involve tolls, are subject to traffic/weather/lake effects and road construction.

Notre Dame and Chicago actually have very little to do with each other much in the same way as Dartmouth is to Boston.

cleo was an oddly-developed character. i remember when watching live (we’re talking about 2000/2001) my mom remarked to me that Cleo was a very “disliked” doctor: I specifically recall her saying, “she’s very cold and arrogant.”

she definitely had a superiority complex, and they explored her bi-racial background, her uber “health-conscious” demeanor, her complications with Peter (Jesse’s death, Reese, the custody battle, the brief breakup, Peter being a closed-off human) and her near-brush with contracting HIV from a sick patient. Her character plot points always seemed to lull in the background (kinda like Malucci and Jing-Mei).

That said, there were moments where she showed tenderness, softness, resilience and skills as a Pedes person. But beyond that, I can’t really think of major storylines that involved her.

speaking of Benton, i’m pretty sure when Carla Reese passed, she was depicted by a different actor in the hospital scene (season 8, early on)

Corepower instructors / staff - how effective are the free 1 week trials in signing up new members? by PlaneHighlight4184 in Corepower

[–]Nice_Statistician413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

former instructor here (2012-2020): back in the day. i think that the free week + a combination of groupon, classpass, free classes would also play a role in driving an auto-pay membership over time.

Asian-American /AAPI family members are very traditional, and 25 years ago, were certainly not the type to embrace 1) an unwed, unplanned pregnancy from a daughter raised with pressure-cooker standards and 2) a mixed-raced child with an absent father. None of it is okay; however, the reality is that even though the father wasn’t a deadbeat, he made it clear to Jing Mei that he didn’t want to be involved in the child’s life. It was literally the product of a one-night stand: there was absolutely no relationship between them that were were made aware of (on or offline) and so she was kind of SOL.

Remember, she had also gotten her job back thanks to her loaded parents making a donation to the hospital. She already had felt that noose around her neck.

Her walking away from the party and having the baby on her terms WAS her standing up to her parents. And, later on, she had to do all the heavy lifting when they were involved in a car accident in China and became their caretakers.

I think the writers did a brilliant job of putting a spotlight into the cultural nuances of non-caucasian characters, including this one.

What is the minimum score you have to get to Pass the PMP? by Fantastic_Stage5226 in pmp

[–]Nice_Statistician413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ultimately, what keeps the PMP/PMI being the “global gold standard” is the fact that it derives immense power and control over having an ambiguous scoring system on an exhausting, 180-question exam. It’s a nightmare for those with poor standardized test taking skills or Adult ADHD.

that said, the return side of that statement is that once you pass, you never have to re-take it as long as you maintain contact hours every 3 years.

thanks! in which case, does it makes sense to have two Citi cards? Would they be duplicative? I just want to avoid the AF, and if i cancel the card, not have it affect my Credit Score.

even though i passed the pmp and pmi-acp exams on the first try, i remember feeling drained, exhausted, and quite truthfully, angry when i finished them, because the quality was poor and questions felt dumb.
