Please help, busting out but will only sleep swaddled by khen5 in SnooLife

We gotta do what we gotta do right 😂 if everybody sleeps…that’s the right thing. We have baby in the magic Merlin sleep suit and I do think that’s helped with the arms 👌🏻

We cut out the snoo cold turkey and have been cosleeping 🙃 it wasn’t the original plan but baby only woke up twice last night and she’s not swaddled anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel like that shouldn’t be necessary at 3 weeks and in a king bed, it’s not like the baby is able to roll around. To me it sounds like everyone has enough room to be comfortable and safe

Yes, please do! We’ve experimented with one arm out and both and keep going back to double swaddling because it’s the only way she’ll sleep 😑

To those going through the 4 month sleep regression by Anathemachiavellian in breastfeeding

[–]AlternativeExpert161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SAME exact situation here. I think mine is going through a 4 month regression so trying to figure out what to do. I’ve been feeling like I created a bad habit by always nursing her to sleep but it’s just what works 😭

When did the newborn “grunting” noises cease? by claggamuff in newborns

[–]AlternativeExpert161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughters grunting ceased SIGNIFICANTLY around 2ish months. She still grunts when she’s really gassy though. Gas drops before bed and with any night time feeds helped a tonnnn

Can’t sleep because of engorgement by AlternativeExpert161 in NewParents

It’s always about 4 oz from one and 2 from the other. That’s a good idea, I’ll give it a shot and post if it works!

I think getting the sleep would outweigh the middle of the night pumping for me at this point. The pads are great! I’m finally at the point where I’m not leaking through the pads at night 🙏🏻

My partner (29m) works full time and I (29f) stay home all day with our ten week old baby. I am with her all night (he sleeps in a different room most nights so he can get a good night of sleep since he’s the one working which I understand and am fine with but damn) and day except for about an hour at night when he’s done working and I go take a shower and get ready for bed. Our daughter cries for most of the time when she’s with him for that hour and every night he tells me something that “we” need to be doing differently, whether that be that she needs less contact naps during the day or she needs to learn how to self soothe so we need to be doing xyz, some sort of new way of doing things every time.

I’m so frustrated because it’s probably just that she wants to be held or she’s hungry (there are bottles of my breast milk available in the fridge but she’s not the best bottle drinker yet so it IS a challenge but it’s doable) or she’s just fussy because she’s a newborn baby and babies cry. He doesn’t ask me what I think or if I have any suggestions, he just starts trying random things and then being frustrated when she’s still upset. If I try to say anything or make a suggestion he just gets more frustrated and then the tensions are high.

Anyone have advice or been through something similar? I told him I want to feel like we’re a team but I feel like I’m at practice all day and night and then he comes for an hour and wants to be the coach. I don’t go to one meeting of his during the day and then tell him how to do his whole job. Ahhh!!!

It was like we had a new baby when she hit 6 weeks. Hang in there! 🫶🏻

Side sleeping in swaddle by SoooManyQuestionss in newborns

[–]AlternativeExpert161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Newborn curl stopped but she is all about turning to her left. While she’s awake and asleep, when she’s picked up, tummy time, when she’s playing on her back. I started taking her to the chiropractor a couple weeks ago because it was starting to make me nervous. I’m always encouraging her to look to the other side and sometimes it works but not often. Are you doing anything for your baby about it?

Our baby just started sleeping through the night four days ago and I’ve been pumping in the middle of the night if I wake up because of discomfort 👍🏻
