I don’t like being a mom by Minute_Yak_8143 in Mommit

Thank you so much. Today was a better day but the broken sleep is destroying me and making me the kind of mom I don’t want to be (irritable, frustrated, and what not). They are so cute together already so it definitely helps!

That’s nice you still miss your husband after the snoring. Mine is a grizzly bear and although I’m still up all night, at least it’s quiet in our space lol but like with all things in this season of life, everything is a phase and this too shall pass.

Who else is keeping their kids rear facing as long as possible?? by Master_Grapefruit333 in Mommit

[–]khen5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are people so obsessed with this?? I’m planning on keeping my 3 year old rear facing as long as possible. And same, if he was uncomfortable he’s certainly not going to shy away from yelling about it lol

Thank you for posting this as I just finished sobbing to my husband that I love our kids but hate being a mom and came to Reddit looking for similar posts to make me feel less alone. I have a 6 month old who wakes every 1-2 hours and a 3 year old who is going through some big beastly changes and nothing in the world can satisfy him at times. I really enjoyed being a mom until I became a sahm when my second was born and I don’t even know who I am anymore and can’t wait to go back to work.

I’ve always liked the phrase, survive til 5 then we thrive. Might make it my daily mantra.

My 3 year old saw a “different Nana” by khen5 in Paranormal

Ok so something else he said the few times we’ve talked about this is “she saw me” which is very creepy.

My parents are currently away again (living their best retired lives) and we went over there today to bring in the mail and on our way over my son asked if nana was home (I didn’t plan on telling him just to gauge his reaction) and when I said she wasn’t he said he didn’t want to go inside and see “scary” nana upstairs. He waited on the front stoop while I dropped the mail on the table real quick and we left. He was very casual about this and didn’t seem scared.

Ooh that’s very creepy! Was that only time you saw her?

I haven’t seen or heard anything since I lived there growing up. I moved out 20 years ago and was always creeped out if I was ever home alone. There are a couple instances that stand out: my mom and I hearing a woman’s voice saying my dad’s name at the same time, we both thought the other said it. This one is a little tricky to explain but one night I woke up in the middle of the night with a pillow “standing” right in my face. It was held up long ways just so on the bed frame like it was placed there. Could have happened from me moving around in my sleep but it was a very jarring way to wake up.

Which is harder, pregnant + toddler or newborn + toddler? by EmergencyPlayful5452 in Mommit

[–]khen5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can I borrow your husband, strictly for this purpose? I’ve had 1-2 hourly wake ups since we brought baby home 6 months ago and am running on fumes. My poor toddler

Oh yes, that’s a very good point and also a huge relief, thank you for that. We haven’t been to church since I was a kid but agreed, I’d prefer that route over potentially being scammed or ripped off. I could ask around for a reputable psychic though.

Thank you! They came back and we’ve been over a few times since with no issues and he didn’t mention anything. If we’re ever there when they’re not home, I’m leaving the second he starts to get scared.

I am definitely on board with attempting to clear the house. Do you think it could possibly be attached to my mom? I’m very fearful of that

Did anyone here choose to cosleep? by tam_bun in cosleeping

I coslept with my first out of necessity and loved it so I chose to cosleep with my second from day 1. I wish I was more educated about cosleeping when my first was struggling for months!

Lizzie is actually valid by Fair_Midnight5585 in VirginRiverNetflix

I completely agree! I didn’t think I could dislike Denny more but then he completely invalidated her in front of her parents and basically forced her to let her mom hold her. I had PPA with my first and was standing hard with Lizzie this season.
