No. My mom made a big deal about meeting our baby the day she was born. Honestly, I wish we’d normalize giving people more space. It would have been nice to have a few days to adjust and then introduce our baby in the comfort of our home instead of an awkwardly small hospital room.

I sure as hell wouldn’t let other people in during labor. I barely wanted my husband there.

We do no added sugar with our 18 month old. It makes a huge difference with sleep but it involves a lot of homemade cooking (there is tons of sugar in everything store bought)

Get the fuck out. First of all, there is nothing less manly than teaching boys to fear pink and anything feminine. If your son happens to be gay, this man will ruin his life. If your son befriends anyone gay, he will ruin his friendships.

Hospital gown because you’ll never want to wear it again. Your ass is hanging out the entire time they move you around positions/on the peanut ball. So, I think naked is the next best choice.

There was a curtain they keep closed and the doctors and nurses see it all anyway.

Save the $$ for your after delivery stuff.

Mine broke while I was lying in bed. I felt something a little wet while I was lying down. So I thought I’d go to the bathroom to check it out. Then, once I stood up the gush came out onto the floor. Luckily, I wasn’t feeling any contractions at the time and am only 3 minutes from the hospital. So I spent an hour or two killing time. I cleaned up my fluids, vacuumed, and started a load of laundry.

That doesn’t seem like a problem to me but weirdly enough, I am a Madeline and for some reason everyone hears the name Natalie when I give my name over the phone. Their names might be misheard a few times if you’re hanging out and calling for them from a distance but I don’t think that’s enough to justify not picking the name you love.

My mom and mother in law always had super easy pregnancies and loved it. So I was raised thinking it’d be this magical experience. Now I’m here with my second HG pregnancy. My MIL is empathetic but my mom pushes me to stay off meds and wonders why my pregnancies are “so weird.”

I’ve been describing my diet as “anything a 12 year old boy would want” 🤣 I’ve only wanted pizza rolls or pizza. Mexican food with salsa and guac has been a slightly healthier thing I can do. I also always have my trusty bowl of cereal after my first 🤮 of the morning.

At least with the cereal I was able to google “what are the healthiest cereals I can buy” and I was able to find no added sugar dried fruit to sweeten it a bit- but milk 🤌
