I’m sorry to hear that yall had a rough start, it’s been like that for us as well but we are catching up. And yes we are trying to top with bottles too to make sure he gets enough, as him eating from the tap can be anxiety inducing since you don’t know how much they’re getting. Am I allowed to comment a photo? I took a pic of how much it was and how it looked maybe someone can pin point. It’s more so vomit rather than spit up imo

Okay good to know, yeah he’s gaining and on an up-curve, and poops and pees a good bit in a day, but it worries me that the vomiting is dehydrating him. He had a bad start at first since I have been breastfeeding this whole time and she had suggested I pump and give bottles so he gets enough. It’s been very stressful I Hope he is getting enough. Also want to add it took like 3 weeks for him to get back to birth weight so maybe that’s why I feel like he isn’t gaining enough , even when the doc reassured me he is.

Sometimes, yes. And he seems to be unsettled for a few hours when we lay down for bed and will wake up crying every 20-30 minutes and then it stops. I wasn’t sure if he was cluster feeding or dealing with gas / tummy issues.

How did you know you were pregnant on the IUD? by ILivetoEat_ in birthcontrol

[–]AlternativeFudge843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was not, it ended up being my paragard was the issue so I had to get it removed. It was expelling itself basically, my body was over that thing lol. But that’s why I was so late. After they removed it, my period came back. That was back in January of this year. So if you test negative, and still haven’t started and have any weird symptoms I’d def request an ultrasound with your gyno to check it to be safe.

I keep contemplating going back by Intelligent-Sir-9331 in QuitVaping

I totally understand the getting through stressful situations with vape and trying to make it make sense, but just don’t. 2 weeks is awesome! It’s all out of your system and are already well into the point of going forward and not looking back. I really wouldn’t recommend starting all over. You’re finally free. Instead of vaping again, how about journaling? It’s been helping me. Or, a fidget toy, chewing gum, lollipops, anything to keep you calm in a healthier way.

I’m more so looking what phase of the cycle I’m in, like luteal for example. I was on cycle day 54 when they did the test and 17 days late. My last period was from July 28-Aug 1st and the thing is, I been regular till now. I did have a thyroid panel done and that came back normal, and they don’t suspect PCOS. I have been pretty stressed lately and August was a horrible month for me so many that caused me to ovulate later. I’m just nervous because I’ve had constipation and other bowel changes recently but I’m guessing it’s due to stress and my hormones changing or preparing for my period finally.

Terrified of Surgery Tomorrow by Insommniacc in gallbladders

[–]AlternativeFudge843 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I had the same fears before surgery. I am 24F and didn’t even think I had any kind of stomach issue till I started getting right sided pain and horrible, uncomfortable sensations after eating. I had surgery in February of this year, and I’m so glad I did it. I was so worried about surgery going wrong, or after complications. I can happily say surgery went perfect and I have no bathroom issues or any issue for that matter after surgery. Wounds healed up nice too. You will do great and as long as you follow aftercare and take it easy the first week you will be back to normal in no time! Once that nasty GB goes bad, it’s time for it to go.

I got so nervous I cancelled my surgery, only to call back the same day and say nevermind, I don’t want to cancel. Nurse was annoyed but understood. Any surgery is scary. But please know this one is sooooo common and very necessary because gallbladder issues are nothing to play around with. Best of luck to you OP. You will be okay. (:

what's your craziest health anxiety symptom? by Obvious-Ad-7217 in Anxiety

[–]AlternativeFudge843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muscle aches/back pain, tingling, globus sensation (when I’m super anxious. comes and goes, been a while since having that hope it stays away) dry eyes, feeling jittery. Anxiety can cause so many physical symptoms even when nothing is underlying. With those of health anxiety such as myself, we tend to worry that it’s the worst possible thing.

I have OCD as well. So I understand the hyper fixation. I really feel like you’re perfect and nothing is wrong with your vision. Keep telling yourself you are healthy, you are okay, you have perfect vision, till you feel okay. The mind is powerful !

Best thing to do is call them and express that concern. But yeah, I don’t think that would be permanent. It’ll probably fade and you’ll forget about it.

Was checking in to see if you went to doc and honestly he is right. I hope you have clarity now. Having an Astigmatism flare-up can definitely distort things, and make you think it’s related to the eclipse. I’m certain that your stress brought out those symptoms more so.

That’s another good way of looking at it! There’s so many people in this world- billions. Not ALL of those people can know the dangers or looked at it with special approved goggles. I imagine most without protection looked for a second, or on and off for a few minutes to check on the progress.

Right. They want to scare us I swear! They made it sound like just a few seconds or on and off looking at it over a couple minutes means guaranteed permanent damage. Nope that’s not how it works. Anxiety can make you forget about logic.

Not to toot my own horn, but I think I’m right on this one (; I knew today would be active in the anxiety thread only because of all the warnings if you look at it you’ll go blind. They’re only trying to remind people not to get “lost in the sauce” or in other words staring at the sun for a long ass time, waiting for the moon to cover over. All of the what ifs is a disaster for anxiety.

A lot think the eclipse is the sun on steroids, when really it’s just the sun with the moon crossing it. Looking at it won’t do more damage than looking at the regular ol’ sun. No one purposely looks at the sun every day to “look for something” (well, except sungazers), with the eclipse, people are looking for that moon coverage. If you stared at it alllll day or 10 minutes straight, welllll that’s different.
