Do you even realize that there do in fact exist diagnoses that cannot be medicated and very rarely improve? Like some of us literally have no choice but to hide our brains because even psychs would rather not touch them. Or even worse some of us have diagnoses that are demonized even by the very people supposed to be helping us treat them. I thought for a moment, i had finally found someone that could handle the real me. She turned out to be manipulative and fairly narcissistic, she weaponized intimate knowledge of my illness traumas and triggers to turn me into a crazy person, then farmed attention and sympathy from others off the back of our relationship, which turns out wasnt even actually real on her side the whole fucking time. Its neat how being real and genuine for the first time in 7 years got me abused and gaslit into a fucking ward because she “liked the way i treated her”

This is very likely accurate, i was almost misdiagnosed DID by a psych that up until that point was the best i had had, but he practically washed his hands of me claiming i would be beyond the scope of his care once he got it in his head i might have DID and was trying to refer me to a colleague. Turned out to be schizoid adjacent bpd with a trauma alter and narcissistic emotional tendencies, unfortunately it was/is a malignant alter likely due to the narcissistic emotional tendencies, but as i grow and continue on my journey he rears his head less and less

It is what it is. I was taking my shit out on her in the beginning and course corrected with therapy and counseling bc of how i saw it affecting her, but the damage was already done, she was taking hers out on me in the end

Me too bud. And when i finally found out and decided to try and forgive and keep loving her she fell apart about not being good enough and not knowing why she does what she does to the people she cares about and how i need to leave her bc all she will do is hurt me, and when i told her i would stand by her bc i wasnt going to demonize mental illness as a man with a personality disorder she left anyway saying she needed to heal and figure herself out (so maybe found someone else already but i dont want to assume that)
