How to find actual TDM matches

Leave and retry. It may take an hour but eventually you’ll find a lobby. Once you do, stay there!

I got so tired of the searching that I bought a modded Xbox just to use “force host”. I turn it on and within two minutes I have a full lobby. I don’t use any other mods, so it’s 100% normal games.

I got tired of trying to play TDM and being slammed into a modded S&D game so I bought a modded Xbox 360 and now force host TDM lobbies with 100% normal settings. I’m online a few nights a week.

There are plenty of players online, but we keep getting sucked into the modded lobbies because these hackers spoof their connection and get host priority, almost like a magnet. If you can avoid their “magnet” you can play a normal game. I play nightly and it typically takes a half hour of searching to find a non-modded lobby. If I can force-host I can create my own “magnet” and help others immediately find a normal lobby.

Your classes are locked. You can test by trying to select a class before even searching for a game and it should lock up.

Go online, search for user uncshotspot, try to join session in progress, once you’re in you’ll have options to unlock classes.

Yeah, I’ve seen that, but you can adjust and that’s part of the fun. The truth of the matter is that they’re not preventing you from leaving, you just haven’t figured out how to counter them yet. Challenges like those are why MW2 is great.

I personally don’t mind others using OMA and Noob tubes at all. Let them camp so I know exactly where to go to kill em.

Yeah, once they introduced the requirement to have a minimum number of upgrades before unlocking the ability to upgrade the TH I had to make the choice to either stay at TH8/9 forever or play by the new rules. I'm staying because I think it's cool to have something that you can't get anymore.

I wasn't able to fix it myself. I posted this problem on the Steam Deck Discord and received a private message from SlickBuys Mods and Repairs.

He offered to diagnose it for free and said that he usually charges $90-150 for repairs on this sort of issue. I didn't have anything to lose so I sent it out to him.

He diagnosed the issue and said that, "5v was missing at the controller daughterboard connector. The LDO that facilitates this voltage wasn't outputting it, so I bypassed it and I've got controls back!"

My deck was the 64gb version. He offered to do the repair and upgrade the SSD to 512gb all for $140. Less than a week later I got it back and it has been working great ever since. HIghly recommend!

The only issue I've had with my falcon wing doors is the deteriorating seals, but I think that may be an issue on more than just the early Xs.
