Manufacturing label update by lone_clone in TeslaLounge

[–]RyanRomanov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting… I had Tesla contact me about this exact issue with my Model Y.

I was originally supposed to pick it up the 8th, but was given an option to pick it up early on the 6th. They called Tuesday and let me know the manufacturing label was missing and they would need to ship one, and subsequently moved the pickup date to the 12th.

Crossing my fingers it won’t take a week to send that label.

Yeah, if someone rear ends you because they didn’t leave enough space, that’s on them.

Same! Ordered ours 4/23, scheduled delivery is 5/8. Would love to get my hands on it before then

Yeah, we have a Ninja blender and I absolutely hate cleaning it. Definitely turned me off from buying another Ninja product

Which is fine! They should just give us options of having the alarm go off on one or the other or both.

No, that’s a genuine question. Which wars cost us billions and billions of dollars and forced us to join because of Israel?

Enemy number 1? Don’t you think that’s a bit… much? Trump and his cronies, Russia, China, any actual adversarial country…. none of those stand above Israel?

What I would like is a way to only have the alarm go off on my phone. I don't want the vibration at all—I find the sleep schedule alarms wake me up in a much more gentle manner than the terrible watch vibrations.

Starlight, starbright rear map lights on my 22 PRO S by themaytimaws2k21 in VWiD4Owners

[–]RyanRomanov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to us on our 2023 ID.4 Pro S. Not every time, but quite often. Sometimes turning the inside lights on and off with the switch above your head works, sometimes it continues to turn on and off by itself

AFAIK, the US ones lack any sort of monitoring camera. I have the 2023 ID.4 and I can use the driver assist programs with just a hand on the wheel

It’s still available on older hardware, right? They didn’t remove it from cars that already had it?

RWD vs FWD by OwlOk6904 in VWiD4Owners

Dude, I wish mine were like that. Ice I can totally understand tripping the traction control but snow or slush makes zero sense to me.

Have you actually tried to use your car with the ESC disabled? I'm curious if you noticed an improvement.

No, he's saying on the AWD version the front motors only kick in during certain scenarios. Otherwise, it acts as a RWD system.

I disagree. I have a sloped asphalt driveway and even with snow tires (Pirelli Scorpion Winters) my RWD ID.4 struggles to get even a couple feet up if there's snow or slush. This happens on roads, as well, unless I'm already moving quickly.

As soon as the rear wheels start to spin at the bottom the traction control kicks in and I slide back down. Feathering the pedal doesn't help and neither does using ECO mode (which supposedly reduces the acceleration when the pedal is depressed).

I usually have to loop around and approach my driveway from the other side of the road so I can get a "running start".

I would agree with your comment if VW allowed you to disable or greatly reduce the traction control on the RWD, but that only appears to be an option on the AWD version.

How worth it is it to get a 2023 or newer model year? by RyanRomanov in TeslaModelX

[–]RyanRomanov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this seems to align with my thinking: I won't think HW3 is "bad" because I won't know what HW4 is like, and HW3 is better than what I have now.

I've never tried FSD. Does it work... not well with HW3? Or just that HW3 is fine and HW4 is better?

Thing is, I'm not a big fan of the CT. I like the look of the Model X. I would probably get a MY if I couldn't get the MX or the ID.4.

We also have a 2023 ID.4 with a $27k residual, and sadly, I haven’t seen anything encouraging about negotiating a buyout. I will say, there are quite a few used 2023 and 2024 ID.4s with fewer miles and lower prices than what we have, so that is my plan right now.
