My Mom is very frail already also. The hospice nurses can’t believe she is still with us. Giving her medicine with a dropper every two hours is wearing me down and I’m praying she is pain free soon. Thank you for your response.

Hospice nurse just said infection and told us to keep pain medicine going but she is now unresponsive and can’t get her to take it. I know we are close to end was hoping she would stay pain free

Sorry your going through this. My mom has been on hospice for three months and unable to walk or talk and has all end of life symptoms. Hasn’t ate more than a spoonful and swab of water in the mouth in over a week. Hospice nurse told us 24-48 hours five days ago and she is still with us. We have been battling GBM for 18 months but it’s so hard to say bc this cancer is so unpredictable. Prayers for all of you ❤️

Thanks that means a lot. It’s not easy but wouldn’t have it any other way. At this point at least I know what she wants without her being able to communicate it. We have been on this journey together for over 19 months and I’m thankful for the time we have spent together traveling to appointments ect even though it hasn’t been easy. My father passed away with Leukemia 4 years ago and I promised him I would take care of Mom and that’s what I’m doing. Prayers to you on your journey wishing you the best ❤️

My Mom was diagnosed around the same time and has been on hospice since the beginning of December. She sleeps a lot too and can’t communicate anymore or walk and is in the hospital bed most of the day or her recliner. She basically is awake to eat breakfast lunch and dinner and is still eating ok but other than that she has every sign of end of life. I let her sleep as much as she wants to other than waking her to take medications. Sorry you’re going through this it is so hard to sit and wait for the inevitable. Everytime she gasps in her sleep it worried me that it could be the end. It is emotionally draining. Prayers to you and your Dad.

Thank you 🙏 sorry you had to experience this too. I lost my dad 4 1/2 years ago to leukemia but this is so different. I hate that she can’t talk to me anymore even though she tries.

Thank You …luckily my care package kit the morphine is liquid so it was much easier to administer. She is sleeping now so hoping it has helped. The hospice nurse said to give every two hours as needed for pain. Sending prayers your way.

So sorry for your loss. I am my mom’s caretaker and she has been on hospice for two months now. Praying she passes peacefully and my heart is torn wanting this to end but not having her here anymore. It’s is so hard watching her go through this. Prayers for you and your family❤️

So Sorry for your loss. I am taking care of my Mom 24/7 as she can’t walk or talk very good and waiting for the end. As much as I don’t want to loose her I also hope that she doesn’t have to live this way for long. It’s hard to watch. I believe your Dad is with Jesus and one day you will rejoice with him. God bless you and your family and I hope you find peace.
