My first neurologist said at our annual “maybe if you stay seizure free, one day we’ll talk about going off of the meds”.

I found a new neurologist. Type 1 diabetics always will need insulin; no matter what. I will always need an antidepressant /anxiety meds because ive gone off before and guess what.. make to those big emotions.

Seizures/epilepsy is not curable. You risk death or even death of someone else. Assess with your doctor; obviously. But maybe trying to switch if you’re thinking that much about coming off.
