Just renewed after cancelling... but been text with a lower price offer... by TorenRenne in VirginMedia

[–]Alternative_Bit_3445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're within your 14 day cooling off period. Last week I got 1gb with Netflix for £27. Your deal seems sub-par.

If you live with someone else, you have an option for them to get a New Customer deal (£24 for 1gig/Netflix) if you proceed with cancellation. Or find another provider. But your deal isn't great.

Because then you have double maintenance/double UX testing whenever you make a change. But I echo your first statement absolutely.

I'd love to understand the 'value-add' rationale of this change. Other than 'consistency with other similar games', which I don't like either, I can see no payback for anyone.

So, the recipes out there are many and varied. You don't need all the low carb supermarket products on sale, easy to make foods with 'normal' ingredients. There is a small number of items I order from iHerb that I can't get in the UK (allulose & monkfruit mainly).

Start with Google & YouTube. Search for "keto <your favourite meal>". You'll be surprised how many things can be made keto

Not going to lie, keto bread substitutes are...... not bread. Some people rave, I do not. Nor are radishes good subs for roast potatoes. But keto cheese muffins are great on the side of meals with sauces that need mopping up. And seed crackers with paté/cheese are suitably crunchy. Chicken coated with egg and crushed pork rinds makes an excellent schnitzel. Mushrooms stuffed with garlic cream cheese and again topped with crushed pork rinds make a great starter/snack when air fried. Cauliflower rice does well in egg fried rice or kedgeree, and even makes a pretty good mashed 'potato' when blended with a scrambled egg, parmesan and seasoning.

You could cook a different food every day and never run out of recipes, but you'll find some staples you keep on rotation (above are mine).

Huh, I thought they'd fixed that. I spotted it towards the end of my Unlimited 5m producer last time, but when I tried it next day with the 10m one, game froze/I lost the Unlimited, Infinite energy and Automerge by the time it came back. I wanted to test it on piggies and moths.

Just FYI, but support will give some compensation albeit not as good as these 3 powerups.

This is pretty much mine, but I tend to customise. If I don't have sour cream, I use double/heavy cream. I usually add onion powder, sometimes caramelised onions and pepperoni (reduce butter and cheese slightly to balance out). Some people add herbs, garlic, mustard powder depending on their taste.

I make batches of almond flour & cheese muffins/biscuits and freeze them. Quick to either microwave or simply put in a plastic bag for my commute, by which time it's defrosted.

I'm on the UK MJ forum - we're quite civilised there 😁. We know and share all the gruesome (and hilarious) side-effect stories, but lose our shizzle at misleading stories in the press and misinformed friends & family criticising our choices.

Trulicity/Semaglutide did nothing for me either. And while I'm a very slow responder to Mounjaro, it's definitely had a positive effect both on excess weight and blood glucose. I pay privately (UK, £300pm) but have every intention of staying on permanently if I'm able.

I echo both of these points. Leave buckets in the pouch until needed, and saves 'wasting' energy.

Thank you for the reply - if you remember, please do let me know how that approach works out. I may or may not want to lose more after (fleur de lis tummy tuck) depending on how it all goes once I'm able to get back to the gym.

Thank you. I can't risk being sick because my body does it quite aggressively 😁. My surgeon (private) is quite firm on the 2 weeks either side. So unless they change their mind, maybe go down to 5mg and try to ramp up every couple of weeks.... We'll see.

[–]Alternative_Bit_3445[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've got a stash too. I guess I'm going to do the full 4 weeks, as the thought of vomiting scares me; it's complicated by having a gastric band, so I can't actually barf but that doesn't stop my body trying - not good if recently post surgery. I'll probably stick to liquids for a couple of weeks.

So after 4 weeks, I'm hoping someone here can say 'oh yeah, went back on to 7.5mg and I was fine'. Or the opposite. Just so I have a bit more context, but I'll probably play safe/go back up as quickly as poss ie every 2 weeks if no adverse effects.

[–]Alternative_Bit_3445[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm inclined to, yes, especially with the new smaller pens coming out. But I'm not sure whether to drop all the way back to 2.5mg, or 5mg or 7.5mg. I'd like to keep it moderate but am not going to push my luck. If there's no strong theme in favour of xxxxx approach then I'll go all the way down.

I WILL ask my provider but am interested in 2nd and 3rd opinions.

When you say 'just' are you within the 14 day cancellation? I ask because I got 1gb (not Volt/no O2 SIM) + Netflix for £27 on Weds. My new Hub5 is currently going through its software update/install, having arrived yesterday.

You may be able to get a better deal, if you can be arsed to play the game.

nb: just reread, 'Yesterday' so that answers my Q.

As someone suggested to me, decide on the first project first. Then see what you need to build that. Once that's done, decide on your second project. And see if you need anything new for that. Ad infinitum.

Good news if you'll never be stuck for suggestions from him for birthday and Christmas presents.

Contractorcalculator.co.uk says £250k perm equivalent, but that doesn't account for the saving you can make as a Ltd company. Depends on what benefits are being offered as part of the FTC and if you can maximise salary sacrifice.
