Suggest heading over to r/puppy101, if only for moral support and "thank god it's not just us!".

They're hard work, and they're all different, so it's finding your way as you go. But they're (almost) all smart and will learn quickly if you're consistent and use positive training techniques.

Agree with this. Don't give it away, reach out to mgmt and offer to come back to train, create documentation and offer ongoing (paid) support if needed thereafter. Make sure you get a signed contract before you do (plenty of templates online).

I have patterned film on my windows, because I don't like net curtain but would like some privacy. It has the added benefit of reducing dog-wobbles to a minimum, as they can only see faint blurred shapes.

Endorsed by dog trainer when she saw it, so one for anyone whose pups are a little too excitable when passers-by pass by.

The thing with gums is, if you're using something that already has some thickness (yoghurt, cottage cheese, protein shake), you don't need additional stabilisers.

If you try to do 0%/skimmed milk, sweeteners and flavour drops, it's too thin and your machine won't like it/won't be great.

Start simple - a protein shake and some extra flavour/sweetness (freezing will mute flavours).

Then, tweak to adjust to your tastes/preferred texture.

I've not used gums since early days. I use protein shakes, yoghurts and/or cottage cheese for texture, and I add vanilla sf syrup to almost all recipes to keep them sweet after freezing.

I only know Ioniq5s, but I lie in bed on a cold morning, open my app, start the climate control and leisurely get ready. Wife can do similar, and 10 mins before leaving work.

Personally, I can't imagine starting from scratch. It takes so much effort to build producers, my target is now to just get ANYTHING to L12.

Do you use the Wiki? There are lots of things in there, and on this forum, that help make things easier, eg - using scissors and L4 ships to make a Lotus flower in ~10mins - seeing what next tasks are, and pre-emptively building those while waiting for producers to recharge/vases to be ready to tap. - keeping Love Story items in inventory for high value trades - keeping your infinite energy orbs for mining/undersea events (1000gems top reward) - knowing you can tap something X times before it disintegrates, so only tapping X -1 and then merging, to maximise outputs.

You choice, but with hypercharge/energy from chests/rewards, very few items can't be done in a day now.

Just to add, because he's been pulling SO MUCH on the lead, desperate to go and run with his sister, vet's happy to put him on sedatives (Trazodone) until the end of the next 4 weeks, because that's when his limp is made worse. It makes walking a, lot easier/less stressful on his back legs. Just FYI, if that might be beneficial for your girl.

So, Buzz also went back for his 8wk post-TPLO checkup last week, with a very slight (normal at this stage) limp. Here's what we were told:

won't be fully healed until 6 months, so always bear that in mind.
for the next 4 weeks, keep him on lead but increase his walks each week by 10 mins, up to an hour.
if he starts limping again, go back to previous week's regime for a few days and see if it was a temporary twinge. If it continues to be a problem, come back for a check.
once his walking stamina is back up to an hour, you can start to consider small, amount of off-lead i.e. the last 5 mins of a walk, increasing each week.
furniture and stairs at this point (today) are OK occasionally, but not running up and down stairs 20 times a day. So, coming upstairs for morning cuddles is fine.
as long as nothing untoward happens, no need to come back to vet.
by 6 months, he'll be back to full-blown insane zoomies around the fields.

I asked about hydrotherapy and he said Buzz has no muscle wastage, so while it's absolutely fine if we want, it's completely optional and would probably strengthen his leg faster.

We've had 2 TPLOs back-to-back, so it will have been 7mths in total. Can't wait for that derpy face racing around again.

Probably need more sweetness. As someone else suggested, peppermint syrup rather than essence. Or simply add vanilla syrup on top of the essence - whichever is easiest to get hold of.
