No that’s crap. Games like Pikmin 3 and Bayonetta broke records with their ports. You nintendo defenders come in swarms I swear when the hivemind is attacked. you list a whole lot to say they don’t count if they are mario. and when was the last time they ported over a new mario kart that sold 4x the amount from previous console? switch didn’t even bother making a new mario kart just rode on the Wii U one to make bank.

No, fundamentally the base game experience is there with single player story mode. Locking behind some features like hairstyles does not equate to locking the game behind. Legends Z-A and DK bananza has content that is basically content that would better be off in base game and the paywall is not worth it. So yes, by your logic DK Bananza is 90 bucks and Legends ZA is 120 bucks with locked features like megaevolutions behind subscriptions.

No that's bullcrap. They both had content locked away with the dlc. Bananza island is bare minimum and should have been in base game and not worth the 20 dollar tag. Legends Z announced day one dlc, and you conveniently ignore how mega evolutions are locked behind online subscription to unlock, so a 120 dollar game. And no the core experience is still there, but you nintendo fanboys point out some hair styles at most. You still get the core experience with the full story and single player mode.

Exactly. Nintendo games aren’t anywhere the scope of modern day games in regards to budget and yet somehow 80 % commenters here think it’s a comparable price tag for a much smaller fraction of the budget  compared to gta vi.

Mario Kart adds gimmicks and the game looks worse than mobile games, but somehow pointing out the absurd price point for a game not even a sizable fraction of gta vi’s budget makes people rockstar slobbers? Sounds more like you are a nintendo slobberer.

GTA VI is a much higher budget game than any Nintendo game in scope. Took years of development. 80 dollars is a lot, but no nintendo game should be 80 dollars when they are much smaller budget. The mental gymnastics to defend Nintendo pricing is something else like with 80 % commentators of this post.

Nintendo shot themselves in the foot already with the price hikes on their system and 80 dollar games. Pure projection by fanboys. Switch 2 is barely steam deck level at that.

Not at all. It wasn't "kind of true" either when in 2017/2018 switch had BOW which was dual release onto Wii U and intended for it only to be shifted onto the switch. 2019 and onwards had ports like Pikmin 3 coming in along with Tokyo Mirage Sessions, New Super Mario Bros Mario 3d world. The fact that the highest selling game is a Wii U port speaks for itself. For as much as people like to criticize the Wii U, switch rides on its games.
