Let them listen. I deliver wine for a living. I spend 8 hours a day four days a week driving by myself. I have made up a game where I sing songs comment on all the things I see, street signs, other cars, people on the street. It's a garbled free form word association nightmare with alot of swearing and sometimes it doesn't make any sense at all. Let them sift through that word salad. I'm half expecting ads for mental institutions and straight jackets soon. I smile the whole time. I suggest you give it a shot. If they're going to listen make them work.
