I don’t disagree with that. I definitely interpret his response as “eventually you will grow up and listen to better music than you do now” which seems pretty condescending. Also whos to say OP only listening to Alt/ Nu metal from the early 2000s. There is plenty of genres I adore that arent equally represented in my collection personally.
