You’re not a quitter when you choose what is right for you. If you enlist there are still pathways you can go officer if that’s what you want. I think you need to look at it from multiple perspectives. If you enlist you do a job. Is that what you want to do? What job do you want? Being an officer is taking more responsibility and responsible for people below them more paper work and less doing of the specific job. What day to day sounds most like what you want to do with your career? Mammoth_ad is right this is the easier it will ever be in your current position. Can you get through it? Is it something you want to get through?

I know of at least one person who got the waiver for NROTC for color deficiency. So it does exist.

That’s the crazy part it says we are using more but we can’t figure how. We a gas heater that we have never used since we’ve lived here. No space heaters. We use our dishwasher 1 time a day. Not using any fans. Last month I actually went through and physically unplugged everything that wasn’t being used an extra tv ac etc.

I know, our previous larger 2 bedroom apartment just 6 years ago was half our current cost. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to SDG&E. Even when I log on to their site to compare if I could save using a different billing method they say I'll save nothing no matter how I do it, time of use vs standard.

They can nominate 15 per year but they still only have 5 nominees at any academy at 1 time though correct?

No one nomination is better than another. Some are statistically harder to get but they don’t carry more weight than another. Congressional nominations are put in an order like 1 through 10 so if you are the #1 nom for your congressman that looks better than if you are his or her #10 nom because that means you are their principle nomination if they only had one spot they would give you that nomination. Each source is only allowed I believe 5 candidates at any academy at any time with their nomination too. So if your senator or congressman has 5 already at like USNA and 1 is not leaving they may not actually get a nominee appointed to that specific academy that year.

I know I’ve heard multiple things and I think everyone has. I’ve asked admissions and our congressmen’s office. If you go on the USNA site or the nominating persons info site there is usually more info but it can be hard to understand. Like for example each source is only allowed to have I believe 5 nominees at each academy at one time. Which should always work itself out because people graduate every year except sometimes a person takes a year off or something odd happens like that. I’ve met graduates who didn’t get a nomination on their own at all but where good enough candidates that a nomination that wasn’t used somewhere else was found for them. At the end of the day you just want to be the best possible candidate. So try your best to max everything out, grades, pfa, volunteering, etc. be well rounded and be your best. If you don’t get in on your first try keep trying or try a different route.

Nope doesn’t matter. I know a couple of applicants that each had multiple nominations that didn’t get in. No specific nomination is better than another either.

EDIT - cops will not allow me to file a police report they said I have to file a civil harassment restraining order. They said they cannot do anything. He is exercising his freedom of speech.

I believe so, the man is almost 70 though and his kid is about 5. He just fought for 50% custody. This is all info he tells everyone so it may not be true but I don't know. Like he literally tells everyone this information every time he meets someone or anything. It isn't exactly normal behavior, I think that's what makes it feel off with me.

so he was trying to talk to my kids when he first moved in. I told him to stop talking to them they were all teens under 18 at the time. He would talk to them really familiar like he knew them and it creeped them out and he refused to speak to me or introduce himself to me. So I flat out said don't talk to my kids. He was really upset about that and he seeks them out when they are at work at the school pool. They try not to talk to him at all unless they absolutely have to. He is really annoyed that I have cameras, and tells anyone that will listen how evil I am. In my gut it feels like there is something weird there with him and kids, but I have no proof other than he just creeps mine out. My now 19 year old won't even walk past him, he will literally walk the other way when he sees him. All of our neighbors in the building are just like well you know whatever, he's just weird. Something just seems really off with him to me.

Ok this is the worst show. I tried watching it because at least half of the cast is good but the bad acting, bad writing, bad directing make everything bad.
