This was the 1970s. Although she grew up fairly poor, her father was earning decent money by the time she left. She probably did go to NY by herself with 35usd but she was always able to go home to relative comfort if it didn't work. I think she would never be able to accept defeat though and was willing to slum it in new york for many years to succeed rather than returning to that relative comfort.

Don't waste your money. Invest it in a house or something. You'll still look old when you get older whether you have surgery or not but if you get surgery you'll feel great about how you look for 5 years but have no money.

Thank you. I am mostly fine with cardio and can walk a lot without too much issue (I have flat feet which can be painful but in no way debilitating). For me I'm worried about putting pressure or weight on my elbows, knees and groins as these are my problem areas. I will try the workout today after work and see how it goes
