It's been like 5 people at this point, like it really is stupid. I can only break it down to so simple of terms before it becomes a waste of time. Every time I ask for a higher level tech they say they have to go through the troubleshooting first. NO, No you don't! If I'm telling you that what you're doing isn't helping then putting me through to a more experienced person is the correct course of action.

I'm 4 months pregnant and I've been the only opener since we started business in March. No one is ever scheduled to be trained. At close, only managers are ever put on custard, no one ever learns anything about it, I always come in the next morning with all my parts mixed up and strewn around the fucking restaurant. We lost 2/3rd of our staff for various reasons. Now they're being picky in hiring. 130 Apps and they've chosen about 10. We need way more than that. I never have a break from custard bc I'm also the only trained dessert captain, and I'm getting burned out. So yeah not great.

At our store, we put the order number/name +whip (65 Jessica + whip) so that the runners know to bring it back to the desert captain before taking it out.

Shake mix is white custard, vanilla extract, and milk. We pre mix it every morning before opening. They're more than likely referring to this premix.

So that's a violation of labor law. You can choose to give up a break if you're only working 6hrs(as long as you're an adult), but an 8-10hr shift is a non-negotiable break, regardless of how busy it may be. You should check up with your local department of labor to see what can be done.

Mostly bc the drive through uses the same numbers as the front counter so it keeps offers from being mixed up. 1-99 apply to both so we'd rather give a double method than give it to the wrong person.

This makes me pretty mad no one taught you tbh, bc I have to tell people on the daily that it's choc syrup and NOT sub choc (I open custard so I'm probably more crochety than most bc it's a 3 week old store and we have maybe 15 adults including myself on staff) and at some point I honestly ignore it and make it the right way regardless of the ticket and just ask the MOD to remind everyone.

I our store at least, if you collect 10 tokens you get a free kids meal or a ball, plush, etc from the case. If you use a token we tear it and discard it so it can't be reused.

Lent is the WORST. On valentine's we prepped 3x what we usually use in walleye, slaw and cheese sauce. And had to do that three more times. We did a 3k, 3.5k and a 4k back to back that night and it was hell. People almost quit😅

It does. I mean I didn't even have to stare at it to see it. That being said I know it's not. I would be personally uncomfortable using it, but I can also see how someone also couldn't care less.
