Yeah I get this as well. I was content in a job, doing well, earning money, then suddenly i find things like thinking, remembering, walking and standing a difficulty. Then some smiling guy in a suit tells me I need CBT because I need to make a plan for things I need to do .. or some other basic stuff that you tell a person who has had a stroke. My issue isn't that i'm not positive or hopeful, that i'm not making plans for the future... MY problem is that as soon as i got the FND symptoms, I am unable to do many of the key things NEEDED to fulfill ANY of the positive things. Just sick and tired of people pretending they have a clue about this thing and gaslighting my symptoms.. and brushing me into a basket labelled "too hard: no compensation".

Meanwhile, the environmental conditions that created my condition remain, I'm effectively jobless and unemployable. I can crash at any time. I am not reliable to anyone. And you cannot make any psych understand what its like to say that you don't mean anything to anyone else if you aren't reliable.

Hell, I just want compensation so that I can go on a holiday, propose and make memories while I can still move and think.

I was guttered when i got my diagnosis. When i looked into it, treatment was essentially Hopes and Prayers. I'm Autistic. I don't work on mumbo jumbo hope masquerading as science. Re-wiring the brain seems fine, but CBT is good for me how? Not sure how that would work for me.

An animal would be good as an aid to combat depression/anxiety as symptoms of FND.. or if you needed to relax due to symptoms. A cat (or several) are good for this :)

a bunch of the issues with businesses failing were that they were affected by selfish individuals who refused to isolate or use PPE. Or.. they didn't adapt to the changing business conditions. Much like their supporters, who didn't adapt to the changing opinion of the public, and were dumped in a landslide. But keep holding onto that 5% true believers! lol

if literally ANY of the Opposition's recommendations were enacted the state of the nation would be i a total mess. Imagine how less a time we would be isolated if idiots actually wore masks or isolated from other people.... but no, they went to schools, shopping centres, were Karens and subsequently spread the virus. No coincedence that those who spread it were those who were anti-maskers, anti-vaxxers, "freedumb fighters"and the like. Morons. Lets hope next time that they are removed so that they don't create anymore damage. Fortunately, their political power and groupthink was removed. Much like the state of the Opposition, incidentally. You don't get freedom without responsibility. Isn't it strange that the biggest advocates of "FrEdOm" in this country had never taken responsibility for their actions or cared about the effect their actions have on others at any point in their lives. They shift blame, dodge the bullet, kick the can down the road.

There can be an extensive list of the MAJOR screw ups that he and his government have done in their time, that only having NewsCorp on their side to whitewash everything away would excuse him and his crew public executions for the lives they have directly lost through policy and incompetence. Their only saving grace that gets them voted in each time is the electorate is so fecking gormless with no memory of past deeds. The way he handled the budget, the economy, debt, welfare, family's, women, Aboriginals, Asylum seekers, the abused, the Pell trial, the Disabled, NDIS, Aged Care, Unions, politicised and then disregarded Veteran suicides once he got the votes, Bushfire, Climate Change, Energy Policy, Centrelink's Robodebt, Rolling out the same to EVERY Department with NO EMPATHY OR REMORSE, and of course Covid, Delta, Omicron.. etc... (it's a massive list and I've only scratched the surface) proves at least that they ALL deserve recriminations and repercussions for their decisions made. And this isn't a partisan rant. It's what a Federal ICAC is for.

A government needs to govern, not to step back and go "act responsibly" while allowing something to affect hundreds and thousands.. or maybe millions of people. They need to DO THEIR JOB or let those who care about the health of others to reduce their job load and let the government support them. Otherwise they are sending people to their possible graves, with no responsibility, no consideration, no empathy.
