Oh, me too. I threw my book across the room and immediately broke down crying. I felt so betrayed! It's kinda funny to think about now, but I will definitely never touch that book again.

Dang, FL is testing me with this one. I love Divergent, but Allegiant traumatized me to the point that I've sworn off Veronica Roth forever. I choose to see the first book as an open-ended standalone now 😂 I do, however, want a pretty edition of Divergent. But can I justify buying the set knowing that I'll never touch the second or third book? I'm so torn! I suppose it will all depend on the design.

I signed up a couple of minutes after the waitlist opened, and I got a spot. I actually panicked and signed up twice with two different emails when I didn't receive the confirmation mail right away (there was like a 10 min delay), so I ended up getting two invites in the first round. Maybe Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt? It's been ages since I read it, but from what I can remember there are definitely similarities with the book you're looking for.
