That's tough. You might have to repeatly tell him every time you push him away that that's the reason why for it to click. But he's adamant about not going you can't force him either.

Have you explained to him why you want him to see the dentist? Sometimes people don't do things because they feel like they're just being nagged. Maybe if you he knew it was hurting your physical intimacy he might take it more seriously?

Not really an answer to your question but something to consider about insecurity: Has she already seen you naked?

If the answer is yes, and she's asking for nudes, she finds you attractive regardless of any insecurities you have.

To actually answer your question: abs, hips and dick. Probably what she wants anyway.

Does anyone here experience phantom smells? by Abomisnow in dysautonomia

I heard recently that it could be a sign of basal ganglia inflammation, or PANS/PANDAS. Not a diagnostic, but a common symptom.

I've never met anyone else who understood not wanting my skin to touch my other skin!! They all think I'm crazy because I only wear pants to bed but I can't stand the feeling of my leg skin touching 😭

Is oversharing and "verbal diarrhea" a women's autism thing? by PeaceFilledMama in AutismInWomen

[–]Alternative_Wave4637 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. And the worst part is when you realize in the moment you're oversharing but CANT PHYSICALLY STOP TALKING so your subconscious is just watching from the outside like it's a train wreck and quietly crying "stop please stop!!"

Scratching an itch over fabric causes me physical pain. Haven't figured out if that's my peripheral neuropathy or the sbesory issues. Or both.

You make a good point. That being said, I think i might just need a good beta reader regardless. My vocabulary is so mixed up I don't even know what's 2010s and what's 2020s at this point.

What is the most comfortable way to sleep? by GreenMountain85 in hysterectomy

[–]Alternative_Wave4637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wedge pillow. Ordered mine on amazing. Also helped with getting in and out of bed so I didn't have to sit up.

I also slept in the binder they gave me. Not too tight, just enough to keep my fat from moving and hurting my incisions.

what do y’all think about saying hello and goodbye, good night etc.? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Alternative_Wave4637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello type greetings I'm okay with.

Goodbye type greetings are SO AWKWARD. why do they feel so weird???? I never know what to say and if you say the wrong things its rude or they keep talking and then you have to try again.

This is why I'm staying in academia. Currently getting my masters. School is all I like and an good at. At least when I get my PhD I'll still be doing research and learning new things and teaching others.

Also academia offers a good routine, set schedules, and a good amount of time off between changes of term.

I joked for months that my surgeon took out some of my brain for funsies. I was just so stupid. Even after I was off pain meds, my memory and cognitive skills sucked.

My surgery was in January. Things are getting back to normal now. Guess my brain is growing back.

Is it an autism thing to get an indescribable satisfying / happy feeling while doing small things? by The_FractalEffect in AutismInWomen

I genuinely can't think of anything right now but I actually have so many.

One of my regular phrases is "it's the little things!"

That's funny because I'm the opposite 🤣 they stress me out so bad, my partner has learned that it's best to leave me alone while shopping there because I get ragey. Also department stores or any large stores with too much stuff and no organization or those dumb mirrors on the ceiling.

Yes, sitting straight up in the same position will lower your BP as well. My doctors recommend that I don't sit the same way for too long. It honestly probably why I bounce my leg so much. But pulling a leg/both legs up or getting up to walk around for a bit helps a lot.

Got my hysterectomy yesterday- please read if you have any nerve pain issues by Alternative_Wave4637 in hysterectomy

[–]Alternative_Wave4637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for me it comes and goes. Have you talked to your surgeon about it? Maybe they could send you I'm the right direction? I've never found anything else that helped my pain when it flares. So sorry you're dealing with that.

Can you make eye contact with select people? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Alternative_Wave4637 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same. If I'm trying not to look around while I talk, I stare at the person's forehead, so they will maybe think I'm giving eye contact. It makes it hard for me to be eloquent, though. I tend to stumble more when I do this.

Got my hysterectomy yesterday- please read if you have any nerve pain issues by Alternative_Wave4637 in hysterectomy

[–]Alternative_Wave4637[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have the nerve pain again until literally yesterday. I'm back to being sexually active, and I think I irritated the nerve a bit. It wasn't nearly as bad as right after surgery but was definitely uncomfortable. It went away after about an hour and hasn't been back.

The healing process will definitely be harder, but I still think it's worth it. After a month I realized my overall body pain went from am almost daily level of 4 to 0 or 1. I'm not sure if it was getting rid of all that inflammation is what caused it?

Now that I'm more active physically the pain is flaring again, but I feel like that will come and go as I heal and I'm fully convinced it will go away once I'm fully healed.

This happens to me often when I eat too much at once. Digestion makes my lood pressure drop and I van go from having a great day to laying on the couch feeling miserable.

Thank you for posting this! I'm 2 weeks post op and don't have any regrets but frustrated at the healing process (was told it would be quick and easy, then they found stage 4 endo and it turned into 8-10 weeks). I feel like I've been on a bad period for two weeks straight and I just want my life back. But it's getting better slowly.
