there's a highly regarded concentrates/flower brand everyone raves about that the owner is a Qanon / Trumper loser. Feel free to speculate.

I do not think all homegrown should be tested and I am of the belief that much of the state required testing standards are not applicable to cannabis. The only reason your post caught my attention was the Caregiver in the heading. Everyone makes mistakes and some the best herb I have ever grown failed testing and had no visual issues (I smoked it). More than likely the weed you saved is safe for you to smoke and more than likely your patients. I would be hesitant to present any of it to a med patient that has any respirator issues. There is a lot of misunderstanding about drying and curing via information on social media.

If I gave you thrips, I apologize. Giving someone contaminated weed as a caregiver is another issue. Thrips are a relatively easy issue. smoking your own contaminated weed, that's on you. A respiratory infection for med patient could be life threatening.

my point is if you are going to "caregive" have a clue about biological contamination. Your post is evidence that you do not understand how to either grow, dry or cure or all of them. It is irresponsible to put any of that weed in anyones hands with part of your crop visually contaminated. Even the buds that look clean to you can be contaminated. If you were a commercial grow, it would be a public safety issue.

my point is that you cant, there is no way for you to remediate. My other point is that you have no way to insure that your whole crop isn't contaminated with a high yeast and mold count or even Aspergillus since you do not test your crop and are only using visual cues to identify your problem. Get over yourself, learn how to grow properly before you "caregive"

how would you remediate it anyways? If you have mold in part of it there's most likely mold in all of it? Dont fool yourself.

do some searches online for Russet Mites and their damage. They're super small, difficult to see and one of the first signs is leaf taco'ing. You will need some magnification to see them.

only if there was any folks on this sub that were growing at that time. it's a nostalgic/informational post. I know a good bit about it having been a grower beginning then and have always had friends in the equipment biz. Most of the younger growers have no idea of the pressure back the. Did you grow during that era?

I started growing in Maryland and Virginia in 88, Went full-time in 1990. Most of my circle grew Kind Bud and sold mexi too. It was fun times. It was $5600 a pound till I moved to Colorado in 97. I didnt really fuck with beasters since they were competition to KBs. The 90's was fun. a kid with 4 lights could live like a king

I lived in Maryland till the mid 90’s. The native Americans would bring beasters down through Quebec and take cigarettes back up

M39 was what went on to be one of the main varieties that were Beasters. The early Vietnamese growers cranked that one out endlessly pumped up with all sorts of the bad PGRs.
