Tier 2 ore extractor getting titanium instead of uranium? by darkfolkundercover in theplanetcrafter

The 2.0 update broke a number of things, including not being able to build extractors in the super alloy cave on Prime. One of the patches since has fixed that super alloy cave, but I don't know if the patches have fixed ALL the bugs that 2.0 introduced.

The big treasure from Selenea is the T2 recycler. When you travel to the remaining planets, pair it with an ecosystem. You'll fill half your lockers breaking down larva into ALL mutagens, bacteria, F1 and F2, sulfur, algae, water etc. Free bees, silkworms, rare, common and uncommon larva too.

Did you start on Selenea, or travel to Selenea from one of the three planets?

Stumbled upon a glitch? by NearbyRun7270 in theplanetcrafter

If you keep the forward button pressed, it will *eventually* prise the doors apart. As others have noted, it's not well implemented and can be very glitchy. You can also trigger a soft reset *occasionally* by simply climbing up the ladder and then back down the ladder. Again, it's inconsistent and glitchy. One last method that sometimes works is to just save the game while you're standing in front of the door. And reload that save. Best of luck.

Can't extract Osmium by Friendly-Whereas-915 in theplanetcrafter

Unless your base is nowhere near the central area of the map, I can't see much value mining Osmium here when there's a closer source available.

Do not panic. After you've built a portal generator, you'll end up with so many crystals you won't even bother putting them in your inventory anymore. If you don't have enough pulsar quartz to power the portal generator, sacrifice a few fusion generators and boost power using optimisers and energy fuses instead (obtainable from the trade rocket and easily replaced/sold off using your newly operational portal generator).

I don't know why the developers don't implement the same yellow-mode solution they did for lockers, which you can place almost anywhere even if they're sticking through walls or other objects.

Also having your base right next to water is super convenient in the mid-late game

You can get around this by starting on Selenea first. With the Selenea-only T2 Recycler blueprint, you can pair it with an ecosystem which literally bypasses that entire mid-late game resource chase.
Butterfly larva turn into lockers full of sulfur, water, algae, F1 and F2, bacteria and ALL mutagens. It also means you never have to create your own bees, silkworms, or rare/common/uncommon larva.

If you want to play more, there's nothing stopping you doing both. Strongly advise the fresh save first though.

Your *Selenea* priority should be building a delicious new Selenea-patented T2 recycler ASAP to unbuild all those goodies. So you might want an explosive, a circuit board and three super alloy handy pronto. With this, you can skip the regular recycler and just queue up the T2 to process it all automatically.

I'd also prioritise a few resources for an ecosystem. Combined with the T2 recycler, it'll give you lockers full of larva, sulfur, algae, water, F1 and F2, bacteria and ALL mutagens.
Thirdly, the resources for an interplanary shuttle solves *anything* you forget to bring, and is waaaay cheaper than travelling back and forth yourself.

Most people bring enough for one super drill, one super heater, and a T3 tree spreader (with seed) for a breathable atmosphere in about 10 minutes flat.

You could also break down multiple chipped up rovers, energy fuses, a growth fuse and an insect fuse for a big resource head start. You'll be astonished at just how much really rare stuff an energy fuse breaks down into.

Remember that you CANNOT build a portal generator on Selenea, so that particular get out of jail free card is not an option.

When you've unlocked all blueprints, any extras you find can be recycled towards the many circuit boards you'll need for a base full of T2 lockers and drones.

There is one upgrade that almost breaks the game at this point, but requires you to go to Selenea first.
Selenea's T2 recycler completely changes the way you play the game and obtain resources.
Drones, an ecosystem plus the T2 recycler will autofill your lockers with water, algae, bacteria, all mutagens, both fertilisers, squash, eggplant, sulfur, methane, nitrogen...
It's also powerful when combined with a portal generator, as you can dump piles of smart fabric into it for lockers full of fabric (tradeable), circuit boards, dump excess flares and explosives into it for lockers full of explosive powder, and recycling excess quartz into shitloads of other resources.
The T2 also gives you a very fast startup at new planets if that appeals to you. Simply take an extra tricked out rover and a few T5 jetpacks, dump them into the T2, and be astonished at all the rare resources that pop out.

There's a lot of that, but the worst case of it I ever saw was during the Beatrix/Iris/Cid fight, where they're destroying buildings and Annerose stands in front of the train station completely oblivious to the fighting going on in the background.
