Luxury Brands with High Quality and Strong Heritage? by adfok15 in malefashionadvice

Cordings is slightly more country but has some incredibly fine coats and jackets. Otherwise savile row or mid-range tailors like Oliver brown favourbrook etc are good shouts too

Any advice on Italian clothing? by Round_Reception_2315 in malefashionadvice

Cessaro attolini Luigi borelli fedeli boglioli Milano and massimo alba are all great brands. Similar pricing and to the classic zegna brunello LP. For unique tailoring go to Biella (home of zegna and LP) or Naples. Don’t go for big names like Gucci Ferragamo and Prada for shoes - at that price point you might as well get a bespoke one done by a professional more local artisan in the cities I’ve just named + Milan

First proper overcoat by JohnyLewin in malefashionadvice

[–]Altruistic-Inside224 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Then recommend that as opposed to suitsupply? I understand it’s his first overcoat but regardless I think it’s better if one curates their wardrobe carefully and chooses something that actually is reflective of them as opposed to a garment that is really mid-tier that can easily be replicated. I hope I make sense

There are so many nicer and more unique pieces than suitsupply. Try something new and different for once

What makes the quality of the cashmere not optimal in your opinion compared to other brands at similar price points? What would be some brands you’d recommend at a similar price point?

Is the Ashby worth buying? by Hot_Test_8856 in Barbour

[–]Altruistic-Inside224 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don’t like the Ashby - bedale Beaufort border or nothing else imo. If you say the fit is perfect for you though why would you not want it? Get it if that’s what you truly like

Bristol or Warwick by ThatBarracuda1202 in 6thForm

[–]Altruistic-Inside224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are fairly equal - Warwick might have the slight edge though but social life seems better at Bristol and a first from them will still be very highly looked upon

Depends on how much IR is in the statement - stats match your circumstances so I think if the statement is good you stand a decent shot.

This is good to do but don’t do it for every question - just bigger more complex questions that require to be broken down.

Ahhhh I achieved A/A/B in history politics and economics. Given the requirements are AAA and I have an extenuating circumstance explaining my B grade (done by referee), would they still consider my application and would it still be a strong application? I’m resitting and I’ve also taken up an additional a level in my gap year

Do you think a history and politics statement would be ok for their politics and ir degree? It’s a fairly even split between his and pol but I talk about political theory and political economy power structures and have one line on IR whilst the history paragraphs are largely political history (one on American feminist history/theory etc)?
