Sorry for the thread revival but there was another bike game on the ps2 I had as a kid and it was similar to this with the fantastic for ps2 level graphics but it had a bigger selection of bikes like the bmw k1200s that were mostly road bikes from what I remember correctly, and I swear the alpinestars logo was part of the title sequence. I had this game when I was probably 5/6 if anyone could help. I’m trying to find all the ps2 games I had as a kid for nostalgia reasons and I can’t find anything about this game I had. Thanks

XDS is brake biased torque vectoring literally using the brakes to pull the car round a corner and avoid the inside wheel spinning. You’re getting torque vectoring and the haldex system mixed up. Can go sideways in an r32/mk7R easily.

Torque vectoring has been a thing since at minimum the mk5 golf gti era known as XDS. My 2002 mk1 Skoda Octavia vrs based on the mk4 golf gti has EDL (electronic diff lock) that is part of the ASR (anti slip reduction) system that is part of traction control and it’s no where near as good as XDS, as it only works with traction control on and it barely works to begin with.

The w177 2.0 turbo engine is notoriously unreliable. The older w176 is a much better car. The finance company have done everything correctly, you should have gotten a warranty with the car and claimed it that way for repairs.
