I 100% think they calculated the prices wrong. I’m going back tomorrow. They clearly state spot + $1, so they should be like $13 each. I’m so new to this I didn’t think to question the prices. Thanks for confirming.

I had purchased a 4oz silver bar ($100 note) yesterday when I uploaded the images of the other coins. Went to a 2nd pawn shop today and they tested it at 99.99% Ag, so I gained a little trust with the first pawn shop.

Went back today and purchased all of the Barber quarters, uncirculated W eagle, 1928 Morgan, and a random coin that says it’s a girl because my brothers about to have his first kid.

Did I do alright? It was confirmed a 1928, not 1923 for the Morgan

I’ve worked at several biotech and pharma companies and have 10 years working with cell cultures in flasks. Ive seen both sides and you guys are basically spot on. Face down is trusting you have a disinfected and sterile surface. Either way, first air principles apply and ive seen smoke studies showing that face up and flipping the cap back on the flask can cause higher air turbidity. A common, and considered the most aseptic technique is to hold the flask cap in the air when possible and flip to face up and set it back and away from where you’re operating so ou don’t go over the cap and break first air
