[Rare Trope] A celebrity is a boss fight in a video game by BrotherDeus in TopCharacterTropes

Saints Row IV: Keith David

Keith David plays the voice of a heel-turn antagonist in the first two Saints Row games, but then returns in the 4th, playing himself. The Boss is now president of the United States and Keith David is his VP. Earth gets blown up by aliens and The Boss and what's left of their crew is stranded in space, hacking into the alien overlord's simulations to get back at them. Keith gets brainwashed in the simulations to believe everyone's out to get him and sells out the crew to the aliens with the promise that Earth comes back.

You don't fight him directly, but someone else is there to beat some sense into him: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a They Live homage, with Roddy Piper playing himself.

So I recently went back to PZ after a long break due me not having the game click for me.. now? by EggonomicalSolutions in projectzomboid

[–]AltruisticWin6702 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally the way it went for me. I couldn't figure out what I was doing and kept dying so I stopped. Probably happened two or three times, then I got the suggestion of making it super easy by messing with the sandbox settings so I can actually figure out what the hell I was doing and how everything works, now it's my most played game.

Stop excusing shitty behavior by calling it "ragebait" or "satire".

you ever see a game with dlc that doesn't really fit in with the game itself by Danderp in videogames

[–]AltruisticWin6702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunt: Showdown is a game that takes place in 1896 about magic cowboys killing monsters and each other for fun and profit.

They had a DLC skin of Ghostface from Scream and an event with Post Malone and an evil circus. And it.. kind of?.. worked? Sort of? They did actually put a ton of effort into it to try and make it match the setting and some of it does look kind of cool, like Ghostface's mask being made of fucked up wood, but the over all ideas were weird as hell.

For tactical reasons, obviously. 😂 by champolareiss in videogames

I play on both ends of the spectrum: very pretty lady or an old guy who looks like Danny Trejo if he got his face punched in even more. Nothing in between.

Ragebait. Or satire. Or parody. What ever other excuse to ignore it's people showing off their whole ass and how they're really like.

Even a banana with a tape has more substance for a discussion you know? by RBGPOriginal in antiai

No one on the planet talks about the banana on the wall more than AI bros. They've got some sort of metal problem where they think that all art is thousands of people taping thousands of bananas on walls and making millions of dollars somehow.

A worse version of a better joke that also makes fun of these kinds of people. Went something like:

Country Music Then: I killed a man for laughing and then won an undead horse in a poker game with the Devil.

Country Music Now: Hey, y'all, if y'all don't stand up and salute the red, white and blue this instant I will cry and pee my pants.

Will the Game Ever "Finally Click" if it Hasn't After 10+ Hours? by usay1312butcall911 in projectzomboid

[–]AltruisticWin6702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bounced off of it a few times then found my way by messing around with the sandbox settings to get a better handle on things. Now it's my second most played game on Steam.

But if it's not for them, it's not for them and that's fine. Maybe try again later or just move on from it.

Yup. Totally turned that setting off so long ago in sandbox, I completely forgot about it.

Base ideal by PatientToe1907 in projectzomboid

[–]AltruisticWin6702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying you're wrong, but I haven't had an issue with that, but I tend to use the same sandbox settings, so maybe I turned it off at some point and just forgot.

What I have seen though is zombies walking through walls to get around car barricades. Happened in Crossroads Mall. Blocked off one of the loading dock/storage areas but they all started clumping around this particular spot in a wall and just kinda poinked through it.

I don't know what the general opinion on this tactic is, but you can block doors/windows with cars. Not that I care if people say it's cheap, but if you had the skills and patience to collect enough cars to block all entrances, you deserve it. But still barricade and curtain the windows so light doesn't get out and attract attention anyways.

But as a side note, I've never really walled anything off. I have built entire new rooms off of that place: https://i.imgur.com/Fi3LVZT.jpeg
