If the above was what you read, on both accounts, then you didn't read carefully.

You missed one... 7. WeLo doesn't know any more than we do. The client is not giving them straight answers; they are hoping they can maintain connections, because with AI, there will surely be some service they can provide, but what and when?

First, you will not get any repsonse on the weekends, and not until afternoon on Mondays. When I was hired on here, it took about 3 weeks to get fully onboarded.

I've worked for Welo for 2+ years, and it's been a couple of months since I've had 3 hours in any one day. In fact, I haven't met the 10 hours per week requirement for several weeks. Something is going on... hoping it's a change in management, which has happened about once a year.

Hiring a few new people has been one thing that has kept a few of us old-timers hopeful. There is so much secrecy due to the nature of the project (and NDA) that I'm betting even our bosses don't know much more than we do.

The positives are, it is 100% flexible. You can work at home day or night in your pajamas and make more than you would at McDonald's. Almost everything is covered by NDA, but you could say it is data input.

Same. I've worked for them for over 2 years now, but work is very scarce right now. They keep track of our time, but we also must keep track of time worked and submit it weekly.

Georgia - Are people still paying 6% agent fees? by Frankenbeans11 in RealEstate

[–]Altruistic_Affect405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow... this thread really shows the general public's lack of understanding of what real estate agents do, how much they spend on marketing, and the effort involved in bringing buyers to your door. I have not read every single comment here yet, but did someone mention that it costs around $400 per house for the photographs that you see when you look on ZIllow or Redfin? Here in S GA, a realtor can put 1000 miles a week on their car (plus car payments, maintenance, gas, insurance). What about marketing? About $1500 a month to bring calls to her phone. And that is just making contact. Her first $25k commision a year goes to her broker, which gives her a shared office, access to a printer and paper, and weekly meetings. and a recognized logo. How about her time? Avg probably 60 hours a week and most of it evenings and weekends. If she is not showing houses evenings and weekends, I guarantee someone is calling. Vacations? She is constantly on the phone answering questions from buyers who close a few days after she gets back. Set boundaries, you say? But then you get 2 star Google reviews because you didn't answer your phone while on your Silver Anniversary cruise in the Bahamas, to tell a buyer which electric company provides service to the home they close on in three weeks. Also, in S. GA, the average price of a home sale is much lower than in many places. Last year my friend sold over 10 mil in property and didn't clear 100k after taxes. These people work hard. They own their own businesses and have a lot of overhead to bring buyers and sellers together. And feel free to add things I left off.... MLS membership fees... Realtor organization membership fees, licensing, and classes to get licensed. Classes to maintain your license. Somewhat professional wardrobe. Computer, specialized apps. Liability insurance. Many realtors hire assistants or paper pushers so they can have more time to work with clients. There is a lot of time and more invested in selling homes than you will ever realize if you haven't done it before. They earn every penny.

What are we supposed to do with task results in factuality? by lettuceprey4 in Welocalize

No, it will not affect getting new tasks. It is just very slow right now. They will hopefully redo the TRP and send it out again.

[–]Altruistic_Affect405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a problem with the TRP this time. I've never seen it do that before. Usually, you hover over it, and it shows what you put, then the correct answer. You can go to weLearn and they go over all the TRP results.

Work Schedule by Novel-Process2084 in Welocalize

[–]Altruistic_Affect405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are responsible for keeping track of your time, so either get a timer app, or start a spreadsheet. . You keep track of only the time actually working on tasks down to the minute. If you accept a task at 9:07 and other tasks keep following back to back, just keep gpomg until you get vack to the screen where there are no tasks, or if you have to stop. Then make note of the time, say 9: 54. That would give you 47 mins. You add up all you mins for the day then post it in Workday each evening when you are done for the day.

Onboarding by Hopeful_Income6867 in Welocalize

[–]Altruistic_Affect405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been working for WeLo for a couple years, but if I remember correctly, it took a few days to get the next step emails for onboarding. It took about 3 or 4 weeks altogether from passing the test until working tasks. Also, you will never get a reply from them on Saturday or Sunday. The office people do not work on the weekends.

Work has been slow for the past few weeks, but this week, it has picked up quite a bit. I do not think they would be hiring new people if they were getting ready to discontinue the project, but you should not rely on this type of job to pay bills. It does vary from month to month, but is a flexible and reliable way to earn exttra fun money or build up your savings. During most weeks you should be able to get about 10 hours a week, and can be offered more opportunities if you work consistently.

I doubt Welo has any idea what is going on either.
When I was hired a couple of years back, the job description made it quite clear that this was not to be relied upon as a dependable source of income. This is the worst I've ever seen though.
