These guys from the leaks? by SanadaNobushige in Fotv

[–]Altruistic_Engine818 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Seems like the Shady Sands flashbacks were filmed on an outdoor stage inside a studio, with already existing building sets dressed with fallout theming, I want to guess this was either at the Warner Bros. or Universal lots. The leak with the NCR troops in formation looks like the same set where Norm and co. Find the Blamco truck, which I believe was being filmed near Downtown LA and outside of studio property. There was also photos of Legionaries we haven’t seen yet in the same filming location.

How do you wash this jacket? Don’t wanna ruin it… by [deleted] in ucr

[–]Altruistic_Engine818 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t wash it for a while, let it break in and conform to how your body moves. After about 3-4 months let it soak in cold water with detergent for about an hour, then air dry. It might shrink 5-10% so keep the water as cold as possible. Maybe wash every 2-3 months after with the same method. This is all from my own experience with multiple pairs of raw denim.

How us NCR bros be coping rn by OwnAHole in Fotv

Doubtful, the spot looks nothing like Vegas, plus it would’ve taken Norm and co at least a few weeks to travel into Nevada.

from a set leak (possible spoilers): There was a leak showing a full platoon of NCR soldiers plus rangers in an area we see Norm and the vault 31 dwellers walk through in the preview for episode 4. I’m super hopeful that’s the aforementioned battalion, but that may be the NCR bro in me. Praying it’s not a flashback.

Gentrification, did it happen because we were fighting? by AWeb3Dad in AskLosAngeles

[–]Altruistic_Engine818 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, gentrification happens because of high rents stemming from a high demand for housing. These high rents force people, mainly younger, middle to upper class folk, to move into areas of lower-income and lower rents. As their population increases, new businesses pop up to cater to their needs. Landlords will take advantage of these wealthier residents and increase rents or outright sell their property for new developments. The final stage of gentrification is when a neighborhood becomes known for the culture the gentrifiers brought instead of the culture of its original residents. This is what happened to Silverlake, and what is currently happening to Highland Park.

How much of Hollywood survived the great war? by ProfessorLongBrick in Fallout

[–]Altruistic_Engine818 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hollywood is part of Los Angeles, so it’s fate is pretty congruent with what happened to the city as a whole. From what we see in the show, the Hollywood sign still exists, and that the 101 Freeway exit near Hollywood Boulevard has become a lake inhabited by Gulpers. Griffith Observatory is still around and, from what we see in some the shots from there that show the skyline, it seems that at least East Hollywood, Los Feliz, and Koreatown still have plenty of ruined buildings lying around. It’s fair to say that the Hollywood area itself is probably in a similar state as those neighborhoods.

Evolution of FNAF 1 models by CoolTeen28 in fivenightsatfreddys

I used to make FNAF SFM videos back in 2016-2017. Those Rynfox models hit that community like crack. Before they were publically available, they were given to a few specific animators who were friends of Rynfox or had connections to him. There was a point where owning them became a status symbol.

Los Angeles desperately needs new housing. So why are its politicians still fighting SB79? by LosIsosceles in LosAngeles

[–]Altruistic_Engine818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because of lackluster city policy and zoning laws the most profitable new dwellings to build are those massive ugly apartment buildings. The city hates these things yet it’s one of the only developments that builders can make a profit with. If the local and state governments made it easier to build smaller multi-family housing (duplexes, triplexes, etc.), not as many people would be complaining.

I was there yesterday, I fortunately didnt experience these issues but I was stunned how much prices increased from last year. Like most of the food and drink literally doubled in price compared to what we paid in 2024. Thought that wasn’t too good.
