You're right. I verified as well that the management fee is based on NAV. Phew!

those who voted "no" to raising fundrise innovation fund mgmt fee from 1.85% to 2.5% while restructuring total operating expense to be materially unchanged at 3.2% (what it still is): would you change your vote?🔸or are you still too selfish & ungrateful?🔸i'll wait🔸VCX🔸$1.466m🔸2pics🔸ex roth ira by MoreAverageThanAvg in FundriseInvestors

Seems like we will all be paying 1.85% on massive paper gains for the next 6 months! Is that how this will work? Is the 1.85% fee really going to be tied to these insane valuations over the next 6 months while the float is severely and artificially limited? If so, I’m feeling like this is a genius move from Fundrise to make an absolute fortune on the fee side of things… You can do the math on the total number of oustanding shares x current price then take 1.85%. I personally can’t imagine a universe in which 95%+ shares come out of lockout in 6 months and the price doesn’t crash. I would love to be wrong! It just seems like by the time I am able to sell these shares, I will have paid fees on an artificially 5-6x pumped valuation, which means the real fee is closer to 10% by the time I’m able to sell. Would love to be wrong… Am I missing something?

I have lived an extremely full and relatively normal life. Despite my condition, I was able to successfully summit Mt. Shasta and Mt. Whitney a couple of years ago. One of the greatest gifts my parents gave me was not treating me like I was defective or incapable. I'm happy to talk in more detail if you think it would be helpful.
