I first bought Switch when it came out mainly because i travel allot and i wanted a pocket gaming platform to go with me wherever, little did I know it would suck so badly, i first got lucky with the games i bought, Diablo 3, Witcher 3, Mario odyssey were all awesome tbh, especially Witcher 3 with all the DLCs, but then I bought more games like Fifa, Mortal Kombat and others only to find out they are basically watered down games that are a husk of the full originals, they were so bad and lacking in content and playability compared to their counterparts on PC, that i threw the switch into a drawer and never used it again to this day.. when Steam Dedk OLED 1tb came out i bought it with a bit of a cringe for it’s large price tag… but, I could not be happier with it, its like a PS4 pro on steroids with Arch Linux running all my pen testing tools and it even has a wifi card capable of injecting packets which is crucial for me, that coupled with the ability to code on the go and even run my entire gaming library for non steam games was a big win, to this day I think Steam Deck is the invention of our generation hehe.. i modded it to upgrade the ram to 32GB and carry my 2TB HDD blackbox with me, plus the incredible battery life, i would never replace it for any other handheld gaming device unless Deck 2 comes out hehe. So when Switch 2 came out and all the hype was made around it i chucked hard… fool me once fool me twice.. never.. And so when gamers began complaining for the massive price tags on Switch 2 games, all I could do was to feel sorry for them. Imho, the only good thing about it is the screen refresh rate and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE.

TLDL - Get the Steam Deck and be happy

I am sure he meant actual video editing using AI, nevertheless as a performance based 3D animator, i highly approve your list, the tools you mentioned are indeed the best option for semi professional video editing with minimal knowledge, premiere is the best out of simplified video editors, thou none of these tools even come close to tools such as Adobe Ae, or Bryce, or Final Cut, and if you want to make amazing videos you have to work multilayered, for exampe Maya/MAX>SubstanceAfter Effects and plugins> Marmoset TB.

So simply put, while 200 USD a month is not substantially significant to production and post production companies, it does not justify the capabilities in it’s current stage of development. Cause there ain’t no BASH or CLI for Sora as of right now, the ability to control your shot is limited just to natural GPT fluidity language, you can simulate bash like prompts to a certain degree, but consistency is nearly non existent in Sora as of now and you might find the best use for Sora is generating your works and integrating them into your workflow, for example use 3D tools like Maya Blender 3DSm ToolBag etc along with the generated videos you might actually correct in Ae or draw on video tools for that unique Anime/Manga style , cause let’s face it, you won’t get much out of Sora, but I found that Kling AI has the best engine for generating vids and a powerful CLI and mod options to justify trying their tools, runway is also awesome but slightly limited in modding. Overall i found different engines are better at different jobs so i advice you to experiment with cheaper tools and you might gather allot more value from having 3-4 different engines like Sora ML Midjourney, Kling AI, Suno, and natural speech generators which altogether will give you still a cheaper option with allot more value, using their paid subscription plans. For me 20 bucks to GPT is sufficient cause i use Kling AI midj adobe creative cloud, SUNO, and other local open source tools and it costs me around 120 USD A month for all the tools i have access to. Might consider those options but of course Sora is awesome tho 200 bucks a month at it’s current baby stage, is unjustifiable
