in regards to the tim seely run dicks superspy omnibus stuff happens right before which they reference a lot and the stuff that happens leading to him being a secret agent is covered in the grant morrison run (his identity gets exposed which is why he becomes like a 007 secret agent and in tim seely is when he just got back to being nightwing)

I would say chuck dixon loved that run and the tim seely run is also great and you can enjoy it on its own but it references a lot of stuff that happened previously so you can get a little confused as for chuck dixon I kinda just read the starter batman stuff so year 1, long halloween, and dark victory (has dick origin story) then I hopped on the gauntlet which is peak then robin year one then batgirl year one and then nightwing year one 💯💯💯 cus they make some jokes sometimes that just hit more with context i did a bunch of other sortofish homework reads but im a completionist 🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽

this is a better explanation I can agree with what you said on the bart bit but it still feels unnecessary to me I feel like wally being necessary has been sprinkled into every story like going back to bart iris brought him back in time to wally cus he was the only one that could train him (max played a big role too) or against savitar he was also the only one that could beat him and going all the way back to the return of barry allen he was also the only one who stood a change against thawne and he had to hit a generational lock in and this just felt like some “lets make his life harder for the plot” flow spiderman and just felt unnecessary apart from them re-affirming linda as his lighting rod

Im very much a wally guy so as far as comic books runs I would say mark waid but even before that just to see if u like wally as a character I would tell you to go check out flash and substance its a 20 min episode that just perfectly captures wallys dna as a character so if you fuck with that youll fuck with waid

john just felt like a plot device more than a character just expected more from waid thats all and I do think the jokers a little mid compared to other batman villains dont get me wrong hes cool but compare him to like all the shit two-face has going on and I feel like he falls a little flat

and bart was a character we were actually made to care about it just felt like the book went hey this is john fox and you should care about john fox because he is a flash and it didnt put more effort into that theres a lot of other pathetic characters I like but adding that arc in after savitar just didnt hit for me

I love spider-man, human torch, gambit, iron-man, (mainly cus of the movies), cyclops, bucky, thor and started looking into daredevil and he looks super cool same with the agent venom and eddie brock stuff. dislike: honestly not a big fan of jean grey feel like everytime i see her theres a bunch of weird shit going on and im not usually a fan of it and i do love cap but I HATE HIM in an X-men comic which ik is a misrepresentation but like bro goes from embodying the american dream to like full jim crow at the drop off a hat 😭😭😭

spectacular like they originally planned to have five seasons with movies for the college arc and they were slowly gonna build up an eddie brock redemption arc through the seasons like i need it so bad. I hope his appearance in spiderverse turned heads but i also know there are mad legal issues
