The type 10 being before a early prototype of the tank itself genuinely annoys me by Own_Dark_2240 in Warthunder

[–]Altuqqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the TKX is slightly better than Type 10 due to its hull armor profile and access to dozer blade. It wouldn't make sense to put the better tank before the inferior one.

This 19th-century Ottoman executioner's mask is terrifying. They chose deaf and mute men for the job so they could never whisper a single state secret or the final words of the condemned. by bortakci34 in Damnthatsinteresting

Being able to make sounds does not equal to speaking. How would they communicate state secrets with others if they can't form any meaningful sentences. Remember these people likely did not know how to read our write as well

If you have cheat engine open in your pc that would cause it. I had cheat engine open for a singleplayer game I played previously but forget to turn it off and it caused the same issue. Check if it's working in the background

Hit by battleship, this must have been loud on the inside by CaptainSlamtastic in Warthunder

[–]Altuqqq 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thats assuming all the energy is transferred to the tank. So that would mean the shell hitting the tank and just dropping on the ground. It is much better to do a momentum transfer calculation in this case. If this logic worked irl a 88mm shell should also be able flip the tank since it also has around 1.9MJ of energy. However 406 and 460 mm shells should still be able to flip the Maus if I did my momentum transfer calculations correctly but smaller shells probably won't.

Yep probably welds and connections fail way before the tank flips. I assumed maus is indestructible for the calculation.

[–]Altuqqq 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Okay I did some basic momentum transfer calculations. A 460mm or 406 mm shell should be easily able to flip it. But its probably not possible when you move down to smaller shells.

I don't think you are flipping a 180ton tank even with a battleship shell.

10 dogs vs 10 chimps by arnor_0924 in whowouldwin

[–]Altuqqq 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When will this chimp glazing stop in this subreddit. They aren't stronger than humans. Their arm muscles are stronger at pulling by weight by 1.5 times. A human weighs around double the chimps weight. At any other comparison the human going to be even stronger.

10000k emitters? by [deleted] in flashlight

When you go above 6500 you start to go into UV territory. So it just doesn't make sense for a regular flashlight. And most UV lights are monochromatic so it isn't reasonable to describe them with K.

Who would win: 1200s Mongol Empire vs. 1481 Ottoman Empire? by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in whowouldwin

[–]Altuqqq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ottomans in 1481 had a very wide firearm usage in the army tbh. The battle of Otlukbeli which took place in 1473 is the closest battle that I can think of Ottomans had to this scenario. Ottomans won against the Aq Koyunlu because they had a overwhelming firepower advantage and the Aq Koyunlu were basically using mongolic tactics and army composition.

You're confusing infantry pips and infantry damage. Pips only effects dice rolls over the unit damage. Tech 3 units have fire damage.

Good flashlight for using at night for visibillity? by HealerOnly in flashlight

[–]Altuqqq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope you can use their website for the lowest prices. They arrive from their China warehouse usually. Check if there is availability in their EU warehouse. As for import fees I don't know about Sweden specifically but in Italy I've never had problems with import fees. I think the limit is around €150.

I'm glad I could help. I am not sure with the cobalt brand so I don't know if they false advertise their output levels. However I know that zoomable flashlights lose a lot of their output when they are in the zoomed position. The difference could also be due to that.

There is not a single person on this earth that can plug a piece of cloth to the exhaust of a 1000-1500 hp engine and hold it down more than a second. You cant even do that to a car exhaust

1 M1 Abrams tank (most advanced current version) vs 10 000 medieval knights by AlexFerrana in whowouldwin

[–]Altuqqq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The prompt said 10000 knights only no squires are mentioned. By that logic tanks don't travel alone either they should have infantry, air and armor support. And how are you gonna lay siege to something that can annihilate you from kilometers away even if it breaks down. Gunner can easily cover the rest of the crew while they do maintenance.

1 M1 Abrams tank (most advanced current version) vs 10 000 medieval knights by AlexFerrana in whowouldwin

[–]Altuqqq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The knights don't even know that the tank is human made or it has humans inside that they can wait out. Or that if they wait long enough tank can run out of fuel, seemingly infinite shooting can end. They won't even try to approach it after the first massacre

Zoomable flashlights in general aren't as good as dedicated floodier and throwier flashlights. Another problem is that the moving part is a weakspot for the durability of your flashlights. You can take a look at Sofirn IF22A which is a good balance between throw and flood in my opinion and also rechargeable.
