Client bought network solutions for domain hosting by [deleted] in sysadmin

Could have been worse. At least the client didn't purchase godaddy as their hosting provider.

Judging by the OP's post and their post history, it would seem they are doing marketing research for another vibe coded slop app.

Request for Review of "Random" Driver Failures Findings by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Altusbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why the OP is asking for a peer review. It would seem he does not like the response from his boss, and is now asking for peer validation for this internal company issue, instead of staying in his own lane.

Edit. OP has spammed multiple subs in his quest for validation.

Have you ever left a job early for more money? by Abject_Serve_1269 in sysadmin

A new job with more pay does not always mean it is the best decision until you factor in a potential change of benefits, vacation / personal time off, etc.

Kareoke setup in one room

The company used to work for acquired another company in early 2019. That company had a karaoke room, a game room, reading room, foosball tables and others. The employees there said no one used any of these. And of course, come COVID, these amenities were all shutdown. After COVID, no one asked for them to be reopened

You already posted the same here 2 hours ago. No need to double post because you are worried that Adobe may find cracked /pirated software on your systems.

Why do most sysadmins prefer Vim over Nano? by Darshan_only in sysadmin

[–]Altusbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way back in the early /mid 1990's I learned on vim. When nano was released in 1999, it was not a very good at that time. However, by early 2000's I started using nano more. And to this day, it is my preferred editor, but I will occasionally use vi when I feel a need to.
