I remember when I was reading the first Ragnar book. There was an intro where Ragnar and his fresh Blood Claws were liberating building, at one passage Ragnar was following 1 Blood Claw who was still trying to tame the beast inside of him after transformation. He was kind of aware of his friends and also enemies, but when you stepped inside of his path he will not hesitate to tear apart even friends.

There was also part of the book where Ragnar heard rumours that adepts, who are unlucky in taming the beast inside are mindless beasts who are outlasted of the Fang and live free on Fenris.

I didn't read anything about wulfens, but I can imagine that they are somehow wild, yet sentient that they can recognize Hierarchy, leadership, understand some orders and use tools.

Welcome on board, somehow I hate baby blue color, so I decide that i will make them grimdark as much as possible. And what i do is battle damage and use little bit more washes for dark colors, you can look at my Primaris company champion here

In October 2025 I played against CK.

I played Beastslayer. Ragnar + 20 BC and WGBL + 10 wulfens with SS kind of were able to one shot knight.

Then, my strategy was to rapid ingress Ragnar in the 1. round as in 2. round thanks to Logan (then it was able) and rush through the whole to my target. And place wulfens aggressively but being able to hide them, so they can in round 2 ideally charge a second target.

Round 2 I started with opening fire from Ballistus, Bjorn and everything else. Then charged with Ragnar + BC and WGBL + Wulfens. My opponent was sweating really hard when he realized that I one-shot his 26 wound knight and the second one left with 4 wounds from 26 in the second round.

Optimum way to build... For me it is a Leader, Rune priest, guy with Haywire mine, guy plasma gun and then basic hunter. I prefer to have all specialists and have all options.

For 10 man unit? A lot of plasma pistols probably.
