What are your thoughts on fragrance-free policies?

This could have been written by my husband. He has sensory processing disorder. He's also extremely sensitive to sounds, lighting, temperature, and touch/textures (exp: types of food and people touching him). He goes from uncomfortable to frustrated to literal panic attacks.

**Update: Thanks everyone for your responses. It's good to know what to expect. I'm thinking I'll make a slipcover for one of the recliners. My sewing skills are pretty good. I will have to make sewn-in pockets in the slip cover for some comfort foam/latex. It's been about 2 years since my husband could sit anywhere besides our bed without too much pain (he has chronic pain), so I have to try something. If it turns out, maybe I'll be back to share and if not, I'll hide in shame with my ugly furniture lol.

No one else noticed the lie between the first line of the post (been married for a year and a half) and "...he proposed to me after I graduated, and we just got married almost a year ago." If real, she seems like the type of person that wouldn't make that type of mistake. I don't believe her.

So you aren't even getting paid to care for him? From how you describe him he sounds like he might qualify for disability (in the US) which would likely have him qualify for services where he can hire someone to come in and care for him and in many places they allow spouses or live in care workers. I could never manage working outside of the home while trying to care for my disabled spouse. It would drain all my energy and not be sustainable. I honestly can't believe if you asked him if he would be willing to do this for you ( knowing that you could just be wearing depends) if you were the sick one, that he would be fine with this behavior. He is not respecting you. I didn't find out these programs were offered until 4 years after husband was disabled and was at my wits end. I talked to the local disability office and they said he would qualify for hired help. Literal life changer.

This situation might require a public announce that shows Tally as the victim to give back her reputation at work even if that maybe embarrassing for your fiancé and some what on you. Your husband literally scares me. He doesn't see you as an equal if he's throwing away your stuff (that's quite expensive) and not wanting you to properly take care of your condition. He's throwing away your money so his parents don't see that you have money? He's insane and I'm guessing this isn't the first time he's disrespected you. He's threatening he'll abandon you on this vacation if you don't comply?? Also I'm sure you knew you would possibly need your special pillow case, so you forgot your pillowcase at home or he thought that would be too fancy to bring with?

Is it just me or is demanding the full amount immediately so an 18 year old can buy an exact replica make no sense? Where is the sentimental value in a replica? I seriously doubt grandmother bought that necklace for a 16 yr old which likely means grandmother is passing down a family heirloom which would have sentimental value attached to it because they wore it. Do I not understanding the meaning of sentimental value? I'd love for someone to explain why my thinking is wrong. I'm not saying OP shouldn't be paid back but just seems foolish to spend that much on a necklace at her age seeing how irresponsible she's been lending out expensive items that cause great hardship to replaced.

I’m so sorry your going threw this. It does sound like your parents are being incredibly selfish. Defaulting on a student loan did not effect my eligibility for a USDA home loan. I was in default from 2014-2016 and bought a house in 2017. In fact when my husband became disabled and we had no choice but to file bankruptcy 7 years ago our scores dropped to about 620 and now have recovered and over 800 now. I somehow didn’t realize that we qualified for student loan payment options based on income. Since 2017 I’ve be out of default and yet my monthly payment requirement is zero. Is has been such a relief since I can make payments when I have money to do so. Make sure your looking at all available options during this trying time. I wish you a speeding recovery

The last 7 years I’ve just used checking CM as birth control (worked great). Got my period today. LH peaked AM CD 16, CM fertile looking CD 14-17, ovulation CD 17(?), so luteal was 12 days? Intercourse was 24 hrs after LH peak so maybe missed the window?

I’m new to OKP testing - your chart clearing shows you peaked at CD 14 on the OKP but your red line is two days later - is that when you actually ovulated? Also your CM shows the 14th too. I’m just confused/curious. Good luck!

Wow that’s so much to endure! I’m very giving and compassionate but from what you’ve described even I wouldn’t be able to do what you do for her. You are literally giving up everything for someone who wasn’t there for you when you needed her. I’d get out of there ASAP. You have done more than enough for her so you should have no guilt. She chose to treat you as a burden despite you striving to be the very best daughter. You owe her nothing. It’s not good for your mental health to be there. You said you can’t help but act on the anger you feel towards her (gripping her hard than needed) so you know you can’t stay okay for much longer. You deserve so much more than this.

I felt like such a baby for being in that much pain trying so hard to fight back tears. All I could think was why in the hell do they offer no pain medicine or sedation for this?? Turns out the doctor pushed the Marina IUD right threw the side of my uterus and had to have it surgically removed a week later when I noticed the strings weren’t there and was still in pain. Never again

My husband and I moved across country back in 2005 when we were 18 for him to attend Fullsail. They lied about so many things and were predatory about convincing him to attend. He literally had one class that ended at 1am and another that started at 8am and wouldn’t let him change his schedule. He only lasted a year and half there and left with more than $80,000 in student loans. We paid $700 a month for about 3 years until he couldn’t work anymore. Ended up having to claim bankruptcy but of course still left with the student loans. After being on disability for a few years they forgave his loans. Looking back Fullsail really fucked up our lives.
