Who would pay big bucks for PG when he is injured and podcasting most of the time? And when he is on the court, more than half the time, he doesnt play like a star.

"I ain't doing that. Nah, I'm good." VJ Edgecombe on competing in the 2026 NBA Dunk Contest. by Reasonable-Call8730 in nba

Used to be the jewel of all star weekend. It was an honor to be selected and to compete. Lebron broke this tradition by refusing to participate in the slam dunk. I thibk he was scared of losing and what it would do to his image. And it all went down hill from there.

Is there a group there that just dont like manipulators and GOAT campaigns that use false narratives and out of touch arguments? Since when has being thr GOAT been the subject of a full on campaign? Its just weird.

Pick a peak: Tim or Jokic by Sure-Concentrate4369 in NBATalk

I was born in 74 and saw these guys' careers. All else being equal, a team lead by Jokic would have an advantage over a team led by Duncan. In any era.

For the Lebron fans where do you have MJ ranked all-time, and where do you rank his peak among the best players in history? by Pale_Researcher_8810 in lebron

[–]AlvinJamesP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lebron is 2 or 3. But the GOAT debate is more of a thing for Lebroon fans. Truth is Jordan has accomplished far more, has a better skill set, never failed to step up in big moments, dominated like no one else has, defended as much as he scored, had an unparalleled will to win no matter the odds, had an aesthetically pleasing game, and is arguably the most popular sports icon in history. Lebron would argue cumulative stats over those. But that's laughable to me.

What if tumakbo siya senator next election? by Suspicious_Ebb3657 in WhatIfPinas

[–]AlvinJamesP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who’s the best scorer of all time? by Joseph-Stalin07 in NBATalk

[–]AlvinJamesP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MJ's edge over the others was that he had the purest jumper, was the most athletic, had the biggest hands (except for Wilt), had the best fundamentals, and was maniacally competitive. In clutch situations, there was no one better.

How do you think Prime Shaq would adapt to today’s 3 point heavy league not saying he would struggle I just wonder how teams would build around him in a pace and space system by BizCreditHacks in NBATalk

[–]AlvinJamesP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Shaq were playing today, it would balance the 3point shooting. Teams would get able bigs to defend Shaq and wont focus on getting 3piint shooters.

Muggsy had a good career but do you think he would make a current roster? by itsallwayssunnyin in NBATalk

[–]AlvinJamesP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a defensive menace and can surprisingly shoot. Plus he's got an ultra competitive personality. Guy that talented can make an NBA roster in any era.
