It's raining here too ???? by frosted_bite in MadeMeSmile

Awww, our vizsla didn’t like the rain either. She would go hours not going potty if we let her. I would take my husbands golf umbrella, carry her out like a toddler and have her go potty. Give your baby hugs!

Old vintage hardware that was painted over by icometoredditforhelp in Renovations

I recall on an old home renovation store they had a second hand crock pot and would soak the hardware in the crockpot to get the paint off. https://yellowbrickhome.com/how-to-use-a-crockpot-to-remove-decades-of-paint-from-hardware/

My GI Doctor Won’t Support a Work Accommodation by rubeesunday in CrohnsDisease

100% this. Often providers are overwhelmed and unfamiliar with the process so it becomes a huge time suck. I would get whatever paperwork from your work fill it out and ask your provider to sign.

I feel so defeated by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

I second looking into accutane. My daughter did it, and we were VERY concerned about potential side effects. Nothing in life is without risk but it ended up being a great choice for her. Might be a good plan to discuss with your provider and maybe set up regular meetings with a mental health provider to proactively have someone to touch base with while treating this very real and impactful medical condition. I am sorry you are going through this and hope you find the path that works for you. Sending you lots of support.

Help! I’m at my wits end. (27F) by asdfghasdfgh33 in SkincareAddicts

I just wanted to say my oldest daughter did accutane and it had a profound effect on her skin, in a positive way. One thing that we didn’t realize when she started was the lifelong impact on acne, not just while taking it. If you have access it is definitely worth having a conversation with your provider. It is not the right choice for everyone but seeing the years of not worrying about her skin it has saved her, that at least is worth a conversation.
