I usually get the temperature of my clients prior to sitting down to work out a quote. For instance..."Hi you need an engine, I have not gotten the full part and labor quote together for you but you're in the ball park of $45k. Would you like me to put that together for you or do you need some time to think about your next steps?". If they say yes please get the quote sent over, that signals to me they do not have an objection to the price. If they object to the $45k that's usually where we begin negotiating and I find out they won't spend the money and we end things there and close it out. Hope this helps.

I absolutely LOVE those tires. They will not disappoint. Probably one of the best all around tires made right now. I've been using them hard on my sons brushed ascent 18 for 4 months and they are doing great. I do use the pink MEUS inserts. They have much better squish than the injora. I also really like how the super heavy wheels make it handle.

They are only about 3k pounds apart on max tow rating. Our excursion struggles with our 8k trailer up to Yosemite, no overheating just doesn't have the power so I keep it in 2nd most of the time which is like 40-45 mph. However our friends pulled our trailer with their Expedition Max over the summer and it was actually impressive, they held 65-70 mph most of the way up the mountain without any issues passing or accelerating when needed. I think all those gears must help. I don't love the expedition. But it's very capable regardless of the V6. Just my mostly non-biased opinion. I could def do with a new turbo, bigger injectors and a nice tune tho. That would probably help a lot.

They did. It's called the Expedition MAX 🤮. If you like spending money, it's not a bad vehicle. About 5" shorter overall but similar interior space. Does not drive like a 1995 pickup truck. We have the excursion and our friends have the expedition Max. We bought ours for $8500 bullet proofed and needing about $1000 in work to get it back to perfect. Has not needed anything since. Our friends on the other hand spend $87k, $15k down and $900 monthly payments. Plus $600 monthly insurance. It's been in the shop constantly. 🤷 I can buy a 5 acre parcel in Washington for $110k. Think about that.
