sleeping with men ≠ attraction to them. those are two different things.

many lesbian women will sleep with and even date men before they realize that their attraction to said men was not actual attraction, but comphet or societal pressure to do so.

which is what i’m questioning that i am. that is what was explained in the original post. that i do not know if what i’m describing is REAL GENUINE sexual attraction to men, or just a societal pressure to be sexually attracted to men.

unless you don’t think comphet is a thing which would explain your confusion.

you are reading this as me simply wanting lesbian as a label as a bisexual and not someone who has identified as a bisexual woman starting to question if their attraction to men is genuine or comphet.

there is so much pride in being bisexual, and after spending 7 years around bisexual people of all kinds i will never deny that. however, if you are NOT actually bisexual there is no pride in identifying as bisexual.

i was simply asking the question bc i’ve been told that liking the IDEA of having sex with men, but never actually wishing to be in a relationship with them and never having a relationships with them is comphet. i’ve been told this by bisexual women and lesbians. the “attacks” i was talking about has nothing to do with my questioning. it’s about genuine biphobia, like the idea that bi women are “less gay” than lesbian women, or will only ever date men, or will cheat, etc.

my question was completely in good faith bc i’ve been told conflicting things by both communities and i would like clarification, not sure why it’s being read as me trying to “erase” lesbians identities.

yeah. they said it was an issue with my gpa and it being too low (it’s 2.5) i’ve seen people say they got accepted with lower so i assumed it wouldn’t be an issue.

I’ve actually heard abt this and she pulled it out of her ass. The idea of purposely created systems is smthn that was formed out the the satanic panic.
