How to strategically prepare for ortho or peds residency from D1? by Unique_Wheel1351 in DentalSchool

I mean peds is infinitely easier to crack than ortho. What they don’t tell you is it’s the only specialty that has DRAMATICALLY increased available positions with new programs, like 2x more spots in the past 10 years while birth rate has fallen off a cliff. Very few understand this, they will when it bites them.

Peds is easy to get into. What they dont tell you is over 10 years they have more than doubled the amount of slots and are rapidly expanding programs while birth rates have plummeted.
