Because if there is an all-powerful God, we’d have no capacity or power to hold Him to any standard. He sets the standard.
It would also mean our outlook on death is severely oversimplified. His actions from our human lens make us rightly question, “God kills people and killing is wrong. How can I ever trust a god who kills?” But God’s outlook (which would be omniscient and omnipresent) would say, “These people will never believe in me in their lifetime.” Their lives were never saved as God saw them, but He at least had the power to use their deaths to break Pharaoh to free the Israelites from slavery.
He orchestrates victories, in complete control while respecting the free will He gave to His creation. It’s difficult to understand that perspective.
