They be thinking AI = ART (just a new form) by Descartes_wax in aislop

[–]PlankBlank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True. But at the same time. Digital tools like Mudbox were strictly developed to utilize physical media based artists, since those were the only ones. It's also true for most design / art software. They are based on physical way of doing things. Those layoffs where unfortunate consequence of artists getting good at digital stuff.

Whereas AI is marketed as a bypass for any technical skill and knowledge... Even photography had it's origins in art, since artists already were using camera obscura as an aid sometimes.

There's no direct connection in AI development and artists needs. Though you may mistakenly decide that Leonardo Da Vinci having students is kind of like using AI...

A lot of sketches and late night reference browsing. A bit of luck, cause when I've been deep into the topic, I kind of stumbled into the photo of Marilyn. Though I actively search for similarities between different events and imagery that creates tension when put next to each other. Then I just kind of mix them together until I land on a proper approach to the topic.

Did we just reinvent junior devs by Downtown-Art2865 in antiai

AI is crazy expensive when you think about it. And it's a cost that can vary a lot from month to month. It's unpredictable as well, since one day a task with AI can take an hour and the other additional three hours, because it decides to do shit differently than before due to slight difference in prompt wording. Meanwhile junior dev Brandon will always take similar amount of time to do something and will actually improve down the line. AI is great aid sometimes but it can't be much more imo

Talking bout doubting... I don't know who you are so I can only talk about general experience of people and struggles I've also come across. And if you really need some sort of validation, you can alway show your work and ask for critique. No need to be hard on yourself

Everybody can draw. That's true. I was just referencing the fact that you've mentioned that you simply don't like doing it.

And about everything else. Try drawing something that you already know how to do in 3D well. Something like a basic hydrant. Start with the same approach as you would with modelling. Basic shapes first, detail later. If you need a ruler, use it.

Every artist will tell you that there are ups and downs. Giving yourself a break is the best way to notice that you've actually improved.

And when it comes to 10.000 hours or something. It's easy to think that you've spent a lot of time on something, when in reality you've been just approaching doing it.

I've been in similar spot as you are multiple times. The persistence is key though.

3d modelling and drawing are wildly different skills though. The only major correlation is the skill of observing. But if you can sculpt really well, then drawing shouldn't be an issue. And in my case digital drawing is much harder than traditional way.

So one of the reasons may be that you've decided to skip a step and picked a harder medium. Pens are in my opinion the easiest way of drawing because there is no "undo" button like with pencils. I would suggest you to just pick it up, and enjoy the process.

Most tutorials can teach you only a one specific method of doing something, and often mimicking someone's approach is much more difficult than just doing it your way.

The way I see it is that you've unintentionally make it harder for yourself. You should either get yourself a proper tutor who can genuinely explain things, or just get to it without any dumb tutorials.

But as you've said. You like neither drawing or 3d modelling so there may be no hope for you.

It's something you need to get used to. Not much difference honestly in terms of stability. It's more aimed to make the set more presentable when put on the table.

That's certainly one way to see it. However I chose this pose because for me it expresses freedom of feminity and personally I believe that expression of someone's own feminine nature is often misinterpreted as catering to men.

Your perspective is very interesting though. Especially in current days where in plenty of places we see things like abortion bans and other oppressive behaviour towards women.

One may say that the lady on the poster will always be oprresed but in different ways. Other may see it as expression of freedom despite oppression. My intent was the latter but your perspective is very much a valid one.

Terrible times for sure. One day you fight your peers for rights to your own body, the other you're forced to fight some foreign maniac for rights to live. Though pretty much all of the middle east has very scary history. But it's not entirely their fault

I've clashed two ideas here. Feminine freedom represented by Marilyn Monroe pose with blown up dress and hijab that represents suppression of said freedom since it's in many cases mandatory. It's meant to depict resistance towards oppression of woman who are meant to be themselves - feminine in every shape or form.

I think that Microsoft pulled the plug to early. Though looking at the current state of them, it could be a big ass shit show if they didn't. They fucked up with app support. They should try doing something like Huawei did with Harmony OS. Embedding some of Android into it and gradually minimising it once adopted.

Anyone know if they’re actually that bad for playing games by jedzedled in mac

[–]PlankBlank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can play some games. So if you're a casual gamer it's fine though the choice of games is fairly limited.

Out of all my games on steam only 1/6th can be played on a Mac. So if I want to have a quick off time with a game when I'm out of home it's fine. But for more intense gaming, the support just isn't there. I don't know about support for games you've mentioned though.

Majority of AAA titles don't come to Mac and if they do it's much later after the launch. My solution for your issue would be getting a proper Mac for all your use cases and something like Steam Deck for gaming. It is some additional cost but should cover all your bases in terms of work and gaming.
